How often to cleanse your face (chemical, manual or ultrasonic)

Significance of the procedure

In the summer, cleaning the epidermis must be done, but it is important to approach this procedure wisely.
Under the influence of high temperatures, as usually happens in summer, the pores open up, dust, dirt and even bacteria get into them, which quickly multiply in warm conditions. Pores are also clogged with decorative cosmetics.

But it’s worth remembering that facial cleansing in the summer should be gentle; you can’t do injections that renew the epidermis, since with such procedures the dermis is severely injured, which in hot weather can provoke the development of inflammation. Also, during the warm season, you should not apply cosmetics that dry out the skin. It is better to replace them with moisturizing masks and creams.

Rules for the procedure

Facial cleansing in the salon lasts for 1 – 2 hours. After completing the procedure (regardless of the type of cleaning), it is prohibited to apply foundation, powder, blush, concealers, masks, etc. to the skin for 3 days.

Particular attention should be paid to hygiene: to prevent infection, the procedure must be carried out under strict sterile conditions. The master cosmetologist must work in disposable sterile gloves and apply an antibacterial agent to them.

After cleaning is completed, it is necessary to monitor the condition of the skin for the appearance of an inflammatory process. Since improper cleansing of the face from acne can provoke the formation of scars. After the procedure, a competent specialist will be able to tell you how often to cleanse your face.

Preparation for the procedure

The doctor will tell you in advance about the need to prepare for facial cleansing. In some situations, specialists will order a medical examination because some procedures have health-related limitations. In addition, doctors warn patients about the following rules:

  1. For 14 days before the expected date, you cannot sunbathe on the beach or in the solarium.
  2. It is not advisable to choose a day for cleaning that falls during your menstrual period. The skin will take longer and more difficult to recover. During menstruation, blood clotting worsens and pain intensifies.
  3. In consultation with your doctor, you should stop taking antibiotics. In addition, during the treatment of infectious, viral illnesses (especially with high fever), cleaning is contraindicated.
  4. 2 weeks before the appointed date, you cannot peel or cleanse the skin in any other way.
  5. Particularly strict prohibitions apply to the next 3 days before the procedure. It is necessary to avoid using scrubs with abrasive particles, alcohol-containing cosmetics, as well as visiting saunas, steam baths, and swimming pools.

Recommendations for care after visiting a beauty salon

Completion of the procedure itself does not mean that the cleaning process is completed and you can return to your normal care. On the contrary, the face after cleaning by a cosmetologist requires even more attention. Firstly, you need to prevent the development of new inflammations, and secondly, monitor the condition of your skin.

Recommendations:

  • after the procedure, most likely, the epidermis will be a little oily, since the pores may be damaged during it, but it is enough to wipe your face with an alcohol-free toner and the normal functioning of the pores will soon be restored;
  • to combat peeling, which is quite normal after cleansing, you need to use moisturizing creams and serums;
  • Instead of your favorite scrubs, it is better to use peeling masks, then the risk of injury is reduced;
  • It’s normal if acne appears immediately - this is a defensive reaction. It is enough to treat them with chlornexidine;
  • throughout the entire day following the day of cleaning, you cannot use decorative cosmetics to avoid inflammation;
  • you cannot visit a sauna, steam bath, swimming pool, so as not to cause infection;
  • Sometimes the product applied by a cosmetologist as a last resort cannot be removed for 12 hours. Then you can’t wash your face as much;
  • Sunbathing is strictly prohibited, and sunscreen should be used right before going out, since in this state the epidermis is very easily damaged.

If all these basic rules are followed, the effect of cleansing will last for a long period and the skin will not cause any problems for a long time.

It is important to monitor your skin condition

Masks after mechanical facial cleansing

Masks after mechanical cleansing of the face should perform the following tasks:

  • disinfect;
  • shrink pores;
  • relieve swelling and redness;
  • eliminate irritation and inflammation;
  • whiten pigmentation;
  • stimulate healing and calming.

If mechanical facial cleansing was done by a cosmetologist, then the mask should be used according to his recommendation. When performing the procedure yourself, the easiest way is to make masks from food.

It is important not to overdo it: two treatments per week are enough for normal skin support.

For masks, honey, potatoes, yeast, various fruit purees, parsley, as well as cosmetic clay, soda, chloramphenicol, aspirin and some other drugs in combinations are used.

  • Treatment mask: clay (white), talc and crushed chloramphenicol tablets in a ratio of 2:2:1 are diluted with hydrogen peroxide (3%).
  • Yeast mask: mix 10 g with yogurt until sour cream thickens, add a little strawberry juice.

Using depanthenol after mechanical facial cleansing

Depanthenol cream has a regenerating and antiseptic effect. It is widely used as an external drug in dermatology, surgery, traumatology, gynecology, and also for cosmetic purposes.

The use of depanthenol after mechanical cleansing of the face is advisable because the active substance, provitamin B5, blocks possible inflammation and stimulates the restoration of damaged epidermis. In addition, d-panthenol:

  • deeply moisturizes dry skin;
  • maintains skin structure;
  • protects against external factors.

Based on this, cosmetologists advise using the drug after mechanical cleansing of the face. Panthenol gel is used in its pure form or as a mask with panthenol, for example, according to this recipe: a small dose of camphor, tea tree oil and panthenol should be mixed and spread on the face for 20 minutes. Rinse and wipe with lotion (without alcohol).

Baneocin powder after mechanical facial cleansing

Baneocin is an antibiotic for external use. The medicine is effective and safe, approved for use by children from an early age and pregnant patients, but only as prescribed by a doctor.

Dermatologists prescribe the drug for acne, pimples, furunculosis, carbuncles, and purulent inflammations. There is also a preventive effect of the powder or ointment against the development of ulcers and extensive inflammation.

Baneocin powder after mechanical cleansing of the face disinfects the skin and promotes the rapid restoration of its natural color. The powder is evenly sprinkled over the entire face, and in problem areas that visually threaten inflammation, the powder is sprinkled more intensively. Redness disappears without a trace less than a day after mechanical cleansing of the face (sometimes after a few hours).

The beauty of the skin depends on both the internal state of the body and external factors.

Daily care is important. Properly performed mechanical facial cleansing remains one of the most useful and effective procedures for maintaining skin in a healthy and beautiful condition.

Facial cleansing belongs to the category of cosmetic procedures that are suitable for and allow you to cope with a variety of problems - from acne and acne to dryness and. Dermatologists remind you that you should go for cleansing without makeup, and in order for the procedure to be truly effective, sessions should be repeated at intervals recommended by a specialist.

However, compliance with certain rules after the procedure affects the results no less than the quality of its implementation. Here are seven things you should never do immediately after cleansing your face (unless, of course, you want to harm yourself).

Why:

because your face has just been steamed and cleansed. Additional heating may be safe, or it may - more likely - erase all the internal glowing effect of the procedure you just paid for. And this is unlikely to be exactly what you were aiming for.

Types: brief description and sequence of actions

Without any exaggeration, facial cleansing can be called one of the most popular services of any beauty salon. Professional cosmetologists perform it in many different ways: from simple mechanical effects on the skin to the use of modern ultrasound, vacuum and laser devices.

Manual cleaning

The most simple and effective way to eliminate skin problems, performed without the use of any tools. Only the cosmetologist’s fingers are involved in the process.

  • Tonic or lotion. What is a facial toner or lotion for? To thoroughly cleanse the patient’s skin of impurities and traces of cosmetics, this occurs in the first stage of the procedure.
  • The cleansed face is steamed using a special device - a vaporizer. To obtain a softening effect, a decoction of medicinal herbs is placed in the evaporator.
  • Having wrapped his fingers in sterile napkins (over disposable gloves), the cosmetologist begins to remove dirt, blackheads and sebaceous plugs. He immediately wipes each treated area with a solution of medical alcohol.
  • To disinfect the skin at the end of the session, some salons treat it with liquid nitrogen. Much more often, after the procedure, a mask is applied to the face, the ingredients and properties of which completely depend on the skin type.
  • After removing the mask, the face is anointed with cream.

The effectiveness of manual cleansing is quite high, since the cosmetologist sequentially - centimeter by centimeter - treats each area of the skin. Considering the traumatic nature of this method, which manifests itself in redness and swelling of the treated areas of the skin, it is recommended to resort to it in the evening hours of the day before the weekend. During this time, the swelling of the skin subsides and the face takes on a flawless appearance.

Since the manual cleaning procedure is quite painful and is performed without anesthesia, it is not recommended for people with a low pain threshold. It is equally undesirable for those with overly sensitive and thin skin, as well as for those who have recently suffered a viral or fungal disease, to resort to it.

Mechanical

The procedure for mechanical facial cleansing, which can help get rid of acne, is performed using special, carefully sterilized instruments:

  • Vidal needle is designed to pierce sebaceous plugs;
  • the strainer is used to remove multiple pimples, clusters of comedones and to treat the surface of the nose;
  • The Uno spoon, which has a single hole, allows you to squeeze out small pimples on the face.

Since the use of tools hardly injures the surface of the skin, such cleaning can be applied even to sensitive skin.

Mechanical cleansing is also recommended for those with skin characterized by increased sebum secretion: they are the ones who are susceptible to the formation of comedones, acne and enlarged pores.

  • After cleansing with tonic, the face is steamed using a vaporizer or in a steam bath.
  • Armed with tools, the cosmetologist removes blackheads, comedones and pimples, and cleans clogged pores. Each treated area and used instrument is immediately disinfected with an alcohol solution to avoid cross-infection.
  • Having finished cleansing and removing dirt and sebum from the face, the specialist applies a soothing mask that helps tighten the pores.
  • After removing the mask, the skin is treated with a moisturizing serum. Cosmetologists often use Stopproblem salicylic lotion.

Since microdamage to the skin can cause mild inflammation of the skin, mechanical cleansing should be performed before the weekend. A contraindication to mechanical cleaning is the presence of a number of skin diseases.

The cost of mechanical cleaning in Moscow salons ranges from one to four thousand rubles.

Chemical

The chemical peeling procedure (atraumatic facial cleansing) consists of exposing the skin to products containing a large amount of acids (salicylic, glycolic or fruit).

The mechanism of action of different acids on the skin is almost identical, with fruit acid being more suitable for normal skin, glycolic acid for problematic and oily skin, and salicylic acid for dry skin.

Under the influence of a chemical reagent, the upper epidermal layers are destroyed, and along with them, sebaceous plugs and all external manifestations of inflammatory processes disappear.

  • After removing makeup and cleansing the face, the cosmetologist applies a mask containing fruit acids to it. Its purpose is to warm up the skin, preparing it for the main procedure and thereby preventing burns.
  • After removing the mask, the specialist applies an active drug with a high acid content, which destroys the layer of keratinized epidermal cells and dissolves acne and sebaceous plugs.
  • Applying a soothing mask that tightens pores promotes rapid restoration of the skin.
  • The final stage of chemical facial cleansing is the application of a nourishing cream selected according to your skin type. The total duration of the procedure is no more than twenty minutes.

Chemical peeling of the face helps renew the skin: it becomes smooth and fresh. Regular dry cleaning helps improve facial coloring, disappearance of fine wrinkles and improve blood microcirculation. Leading to very fast results and not requiring a recovery period, chemical facial cleansing helps in emergency situations when you need to look flawless.

Unfortunately, treating old acne and pimples does not give the same result, so girls with more complex cosmetic defects will have to resort to a different cleansing method.

The average cost of a chemical peeling procedure ranges from 1,500 to 3,000 rubles.

Galvanic cleaning procedure.

Galvanic

Galvanic cleansing (or disincrustation) is a procedure that involves applying weak electrical impulses to the skin of the face. The strength of the currents used is so weak that the patient practically does not feel their effects.

However, the procedure produces a pronounced visual effect: it promotes the outflow of sebum from the glands that produce it, dissolving skin impurities and softening comedones.

Under the influence of currents, the softened contents of the skin pores are brought to the surface of the skin, where they react with the alkaline composition applied to them, resulting in the formation of soap. The cosmetologist only has to remove it from the surface of the skin.

  1. To prepare the skin for galvanic cleansing, the face is cleansed of cosmetics, after which a small amount of alkaline gel is applied to areas of the forehead, nose, cheeks and chin (characterized by increased oiliness). It is this substance that plays the role of a conductor of electrical impulses and a solvent of skin impurities.
  2. Having picked up a portable galvanic device equipped with a round attachment that emits weak electric currents, the cosmetologist begins to make circular movements with it. Under the influence of currents, tissue trophism improves significantly, so cosmetologists often combine the process of facial cleansing with the introduction of certain cosmetics into the epidermis.
  3. Considering the high efficiency of the cleansing effect, cosmetologists recommend using disincrustation after a vacuum cleaning session. It has been noticed that galvanic cleansing contributes to a significant smoothing of the skin (as with superficial peeling).
  4. The final stage of galvanic cleansing is the removal of sebum and dissolved impurities from the surface of the skin. Given the complete absence of inflammation, after the disincrustation procedure, the skin does not require disinfection or special care.

Galvanic cleansing is contraindicated for those with thin and dry skin, as well as people suffering from eczema, bronchial asthma, epilepsy, hypertension, cancer and infectious diseases. It is not advisable to perform it during pregnancy. An absolute contraindication to disincrustation is wearing an electrical implant and a pacemaker. The cost of one galvanic facial cleansing procedure ranges from 400-1500 rubles.

Laser

To perform the laser cleaning procedure, a special device is used that acts on the skin using a directed laser beam. After burning out the layer of keratinized epidermis, active growth of young cells begins. Laser cleaning consists of three stages:

  1. Facial cleansing and make-up removal.
  2. Short-term exposure to a laser beam on the skin of problem areas.
  3. Applying a soothing mask selected according to skin type.

Laser cleansing stimulates complete renewal of the skin, activating the synthesis of collagens - proteins responsible for the firmness and elasticity of the skin. Using this procedure, you can eliminate severe acne, remove old comedones, small scars and scars.

Considering the high traumatic impact and the danger of infection (the fragile layer of young skin is an excellent breeding ground for pathogenic microflora - pathogens of herpes, staphylococcus and mites), the skin will need special care for several days.

An absolute contraindication to the procedure is the presence of:

  • diabetes mellitus (due to fragility of blood vessels);
  • epilepsy;
  • oncological diseases;
  • tendency to develop keloid scars;
  • systemic diseases (such as dermatomyositis and lupus erythematosus);
  • herpes and a scattering of pustules.

The laser facial cleansing procedure belongs to the category of expensive procedures. Depending on the area of impact (the cost of processing one square centimeter averages 50 rubles), a client can pay from 12,000 to 20,000 rubles for facial cleansing.

Ultrasonic cleaning procedure
Ultrasonic cleaning procedure

Ultrasonic

A highly effective ultrasonic facial cleansing procedure is carried out using a special device - an ultrasonic facial cleansing device. Thanks to the emission of ultrasonic waves, which have a slight massage effect, pores open and blood circulation significantly improves. Steaming the face is not required, so trauma to the skin is completely excluded.

The sequence of actions of the cosmetologist is as follows:

  1. First, he thoroughly cleanses the skin with tonic or lotion, and then applies a properly selected cream to the face.
  2. Having determined the treatment area, the specialist equips the device with a special pad and exposes the skin to vibrations of ultrasonic waves. As a result, the sebaceous ducts are effectively cleansed and the layer of keratinized epithelium is removed.
  3. After disinfecting the skin, the cosmetologist applies a mask that has a calming and relaxing effect.
  4. After removing the mask, the skin is anointed with a generous portion of moisturizing or nourishing cream.

The main advantages of this manipulation include its complete painlessness and non-traumatic nature. After ultrasonic facial cleansing sessions there is no inflammation, redness or swelling.

Contraindications to the procedure are hypertension, cardiovascular and oncological diseases, thrombophlebitis, as well as open wounds on the treated area of skin. The cost of ultrasonic facial cleansing is relatively low. Depending on the type and condition of the skin, it can range from 1,000 to 5,000 rubles.

Facial cleansing with vacuum.
Facial cleansing with vacuum.

Vacuum

The procedure is based on performing lymphatic drainage massage using vacuum equipment equipped with a special suction cup that draws in the contents of clogged pores due to negative pressure.

Vacuum cleaning steps:

  1. Facial makeup removal, skin cleansing.
  2. Steaming the skin using a vaporizer or gel to help open the pores.
  3. Performing circular movements, the cosmetologist moves the vacuum suction cup, pulling out dirt and sebaceous plugs from the pores. During the manipulation, the device is periodically disinfected using a special solution.
  4. Applying a soothing mask that tightens open pores. Sometimes, instead of a mask, the client's face is exposed to infrared radiation using a special lamp (this has a similar effect).
  5. Treating the skin with moisturizing cream.

The vacuum cleaning procedure is painless and non-traumatic, there is no swelling after it, and there is no redness or irritation of the skin.

Providing a slight lifting effect, vacuum cleansing of the skin helps tighten the facial contour. This moment is especially appreciated by women seeking to delay the first signs of skin aging.

If the sebaceous plugs are lodged too deeply in the pores, it will not be possible to remove them using a vacuum tube. In this case, the cosmetologist will most likely be forced to use a mechanical method of cleansing the skin. The cost of one session of vacuum facial cleansing ranges from 500 to 2500 rubles.

Ultrasonic facial cleansing

Ultrasonic facial cleansing - before and after

For various reasons, ultrasonic facial cleansing is considered a hardware cosmetic procedure based on the impact of ultrasound on problem areas. It allows you to put your skin in order even with the deepest impurities, removing old cells and without harming new ones.

If we compare which is better - mechanical or ultrasonic facial cleansing, then the latter will be more effective.

The reason for this is that this procedure is indicated even for deep wrinkles, blackheads, age spots on the face, acne and some other serious aesthetic defects. It smoothes out wrinkles on the face, leaving the skin fresh and soft.

Advantages of the technique:

  • tissues are not injured;
  • provides quick results;
  • the composition of the blood improves - this is another reason why ultrasonic facial cleansing is needed;
  • metabolism accelerates;
  • the procedure lasts no longer than half an hour;
  • tissues are saturated with oxygen.

Disadvantages of ultrasonic facial cleansing

This method has practically no disadvantages, except for the need to regularly visit a cosmetologist, whose facial cleansing should be repeated once every 2 months. But given the low price of such a procedure, this drawback remains virtually unnoticed by patients.

Among the contraindications of ultrasound techniques:

  • pregnancy;
  • malignant formations;
  • moles in places that are planned to be treated;
  • heart problems (angina pectoris, heart failure);
  • Facial skin cleansing cannot be carried out using this method even if blood circulation is impaired;
  • kidney, liver and lung diseases;
  • sinusitis and sinusitis;
  • the presence of artificial implants;
  • somatic disorders, etc.

About facial cleansing by a cosmetologist

In addition to removing blackheads and acne, the procedure simultaneously has the following effects on the skin:

  • exfoliates the stratum corneum of the dermis;
  • cleanses the skin of toxins and impurities;
  • restores the protective mantle;
  • stimulates blood circulation and metabolic processes.

Silicone facial cleansing pads

After the procedure, the epidermis is able to breathe freely. Nutrients are better absorbed by tissues. As a result, the face becomes refreshed, more attractive and youthful for a long period.

There are not only benefits from the procedure. If you choose a dubious beauty salon, you can expect negative side effects:

  • a rash appears on the face, or the number of acne has increased;
  • the skin became thinner, pale and dull;
  • the recovery period is too long;
  • There were visible traces of the impact on the skin.

Note! Each negative mentioned is confirmation that the procedure was carried out without taking into account skin type, its sensitivity and without attention to individual characteristics.

Having found out the address of the salon, before going to it, you need to find out how professional the approach to customer problems is. An experienced master will definitely take into account contraindications for this or that type of cleaning.

Arguments for and against facial cleansing

IndicationsContraindications
• presence of comedones; • acne without signs of exacerbation; • porous skin; • fading, combination, oily dermis; • skin turgor; • decreased tone • pustular problems (boils); • eczema and herpes; • severe hypertension; • bronchial asthma; • problems with blood vessels; • diabetes; • neuralgia; • epilepsy; • neoplasms

Ultrasonic cleaning is recommended if you need to get rid of stretch marks that have appeared on your face after losing weight. This type of hardware procedure helps smooth out scars.

If before an interesting situation a pregnant woman visited a salon and resorted to hardware facial cleansing, then for a while she will have to abandon this type of skin treatment. In some cases, mechanical cleaning is allowed, but after agreement with the supervising gynecologist.

Preparing for facial cleansing

When you are ready to visit a cosmetologist, you should not apply makeup to your face; only cleansers are used. If a girl cannot imagine appearing in public without makeup, then the decorative makeup will still have to be removed in the master’s office using milk, tonic, and gel.

Then the specialist will assess the condition of the skin, and if it is too dirty, he will make a cleansing mask or apply a light peeling. The next phase (also taking into account the dermis) is steaming. The pores need to be opened for cleaning to be more effective and painless. In modern salons, for this purpose they use not a water bath, but warming gels that give a thermal effect.

Steaming is contraindicated for some patients (with dry, thin skin, for example). Then they resort to the method of cold opening the pores by applying a moisturizing gel to the skin. Superficial peeling takes 25 minutes, during which the tissues in the upper layer of the dermis swell and lose their resistance.

First, the master prepares all the necessary tools, devices, cosmetics, and equipment. When the pores become more accessible, immediately begin the main stage.

How does a cosmetologist perform facial cleansing?

The simplest, but also the most effective option is still considered to be mechanical facial cleansing. Therefore, this procedure is described step by step here:

  • using a sponge, steamed skin is cleansed of residual fat and dead particles of dermis;
  • then the master pays attention to each black dot on the face, working on them with his hands (with gloves) or using a special tool, but in any case with the obligatory use of sterile wipes;
  • After making sure that all areas are cleaned, the cosmetologist applies masks to the face in the following sequence: disinfectant - vitamin - moisturizing.

Professional comedones removal
Professional comedones removal

Note! If the skin is too neglected, the procedure may take more than 25 minutes, and the pores will close. Therefore, you will have to steam again so that further cleaning does not injure the dermis.

Undesirable consequences of the procedure

It is harmful to cleanse your skin too often in a salon. In case of excessive exposure:

  • the sensitivity of skin tissue increases;
  • the skin becomes prone to irritation;
  • the aging process and the appearance of wrinkles are accelerated;
  • oily skin produces sebaceous secretions more intensively, which makes the problem worse;
  • dry skin becomes even drier and begins to peel.

To avoid unpleasant side effects, you should follow the cleaning rules:

  • carry out the procedure no more than 2 times a month;
  • do not contact a cosmetologist until the wounds and inflammations heal;
  • for some time after the procedure, do not expose stressed skin to stress (for example, using decorative cosmetics);
  • Do not cleanse on menstrual days.

Modern cleaning methods are effective and cause virtually no discomfort. The condition of the treated skin quickly returns to normal, and literally the next day the patient can go to a party or date.

You should not clean your face at home; it is better to have an experienced professional perform the procedure. This minimizes the likelihood of negative consequences.

Stages of the procedure

Before starting the ultrasonic cleaning procedure, the skin is cleansed of cosmetics and sweat and fat contaminants using lotion or micellar water. If necessary, you can apply a special mask to the face and neck, which will soften the upper layers of the epidermis and promote the greatest opening of skin pores.

After this, the skin is treated with a special conductive gel - such preparation is necessary in order to improve the degree of penetration of the ultrasonic wave deep into the epidermis. Sometimes a cosmetologist can put plastic cling film on the face on top of the gel - this is done so that the skin pores open as wide as possible before the cleansing session. As a rule, the face is under the film for up to 20 minutes - this is quite enough to soften the comedones that have formed inside the pores. The most modern hardware systems provide for the application of the gel with a special electrode. During this manipulation, steam droplets are formed in the epidermis - they burst as soon as they come into contact with air and push fatty contaminants out.

Once the gel has been applied and absorbed into the skin, you can begin the cleansing process. For the procedure, a special flat wide blade is used, which is pressed tightly to the face at an angle of 40-45 degrees. Using this attachment, smooth movements are carried out against the massage lines of the facial contour, starting from the contour to the middle. During the session, you must ensure that the skin is constantly moisturized. To do this, it is irrigated with thermal water or preparations containing lactic or salicylic acid are applied, which improves exfoliation and disinfects the skin.

When using an ultrasonic device on the treated area, it is necessary to exclude the area of the eyes, lips and thyroid gland. All movements during the cleaning process are done slowly and smoothly, and the procedure itself can take from 10 to 20 minutes.

After the main stage of cleansing is completed, the cosmetologist can massage the back of the scapula along the lines of lymph outflow. To enhance the effectiveness, this manipulation is performed with the simultaneous application of various ampoule products to the skin, which improve the nutrition of the epidermal layer. This manipulation is called phonophoresis, and ultrasound promotes the penetration of vitamins and valuable nutritional components of the cosmetic product deep into the skin.

After completing the cleansing procedure, soothing agents are applied to the skin - this can be a special gel or mask.

Remove the mask after 20 minutes, and after it treat the skin with lotion and moisturizer.

At home, skin cleansing can be done if you have an appropriate device at home, which is popularly called an “ultrasonic facial cleansing machine.” The main stages of the procedure are the same as in the salon. First, the face is cleansed of impurities, after which experts recommend steaming the skin over a bath of medicinal herbs. After the skin has been steamed, you need to go over it with a fine scrub and only then begin the cleaning procedure.

A special conductive gel is necessarily applied to the skin to improve contact of the skin surface with the device, after which movements are carried out over the face, neck and décolleté. An ultrasonic device, like a brush, cleanses all problem areas of the skin and improves its condition. Movements when working with a portable device at home can only be carried out along massage lines. After completing the procedure, the skin is treated with lotion or thermal water, and then lubricated with moisturizer.

Precautionary measures

If the procedure is carried out correctly with sterility, and if the patient follows all medical instructions, the skin heals quickly. Usually the process takes no longer than 7–10 days, and more often – even less.

It depends on the chosen method. If at some stage there was a violation of the technology or the client ignored the doctor’s recommendations, there is a risk of complications. It happens that rashes, hematomas, and swelling appear on the face, which do not go away for several days.

Sometimes side effects are the result of an allergic reaction or indicate individual intolerance to the components of the solution

To prevent the development of complications, it is important to exclude situations in which facial cleansing is contraindicated:

  • oncology;
  • pregnancy;
  • lactation period;
  • serious pathologies of internal organs;
  • chronic diseases (diabetes, epilepsy, bronchial asthma, etc.);
  • violation of the integrity of the skin - abrasions, wounds, cuts, burns;
  • exacerbation of herpes or other viral infections;
  • dermatological ailments;
  • presence of implants, pacemaker, etc.

Facial cleansing: what is it and why is it necessary?

Care is traditionally divided into cleansing, nourishing and moisturizing. Quite a lot of attention is paid to the stages of nutrition and hydration, while the importance of cleansing is completely forgotten. But it is precisely this that prepares the skin for the more effective effects of nourishing and moisturizing products. Cleansing can be done independently at home, but for the best effect, it is recommended to visit a cosmetologist who will consult the patient and give the most useful recommendations before starting to use a specific preparation for facial cleansing.

In the modern world, the skin is daily exposed to stress, negative environmental influences and constant pollution. As a result, it deteriorates, ages faster, becomes covered with wrinkles and even age spots. As a result, its restoration requires serious work on the skin by a cosmetologist.

Under no circumstances should you squeeze pimples.

The most common problem is pimples and blackheads. They can appear due to poor nutrition, poor environment, water quality and many other factors. If you deal with such a problem on your own, then there is a possibility of introducing some kind of infection into the body, as a result this can lead not only to a longer process of removing acne, but also to serious infections of the body.

Note! Under no circumstances should you carry out manual facial cleansing yourself, that is, essentially squeezing out pimples. This may leave unsightly marks on the skin. And simply, it is dangerous.

The bases of such formations are deep under the skin and it will not be possible to completely get rid of them with manual facial cleansing. Professional facial skin care will have a longer-term effect than a self-procedure. The cosmetic procedure is suitable for the following categories:

  • teenagers over 16 years old. Until the age of sixteen, the functioning of the sebaceous glands and hormonal levels have not yet fully improved, so until this age, acne is absolutely normal and there is no need to worry about it. However, after this age, the presence of severe acne already requires a serious approach, treatment and utmost attention from a cosmetologist;
  • Facial cleansing is also necessary for those who constantly wear makeup. Every woman sooner or later starts wearing makeup to look more impressive. Regular makeup clogs pores, the skin stops cleansing itself, dirt and dust gets right under the skin, inflammation begins and pimples appear. In this case, the only tool that will help you get rid of irritation and inflammation for a long time is mechanical cleaning in the salon;
  • people working in hazardous industries. Even through a mask and protective films, dust and small particles of dirt and waste get onto the skin, causing acne.

Why is cleaning necessary? The most important reason is the release of pores and sebaceous glands from impurities, which cannot be done manually on your own. Is cleaning necessary if there are no external signs of contamination? Yes. Pore dirt is not visible to the naked eye; it is located deep under the skin, so the invisibility of dirt is not a sign that there is no need for professional cleansing.

Pimples and blackheads

Skin care after cleansing

Immediately after polishing, the face becomes red, swelling and itching are possible. Sometimes there is a feeling of tightness of the epidermis. Traces of laser exposure are visible on the skin, resembling a mesh. The face will recover in about 5–10 days. About 3-4 days after cleaning, it will begin to peel off.

In order not to disrupt the skin renewal process and to speed up its healing, follow these rules:

  • as prescribed by your doctor, use Panthenol or Bepanten, Chlorhexidine;
  • do not wash your face with tap water during the entire rehabilitation period, put aside decorative cosmetics;
  • protect your skin with cream with SPF 35 or higher;
  • For at least 1–2 weeks, protect your face from weather changes: cold, wind, sun;
  • during this period, do not smoke and limit your intake of alcohol so as not to slow down the rehabilitation process;
  • sleep on your back, always on a pillow - this will help avoid swelling;
  • for 2 weeks, refuse to visit the bathhouse, sauna, swimming pool, solarium;
  • Excessive physical activity is not advisable for a month;
  • do not speed up the exfoliation of your face, do not tear off the crusts;
  • use moisturizing creams.

A more gentle and safe method compared to the manual method. Cleaning is carried out with a special device - a vacuum tube. It cleans pores of sebaceous plugs and impurities like a vacuum cleaner.

Features of vacuum cleaning:

  • massages the treated area,
  • has a lymphatic drainage effect,
  • tones aging skin,
  • helps renew the upper layer of the epidermis, improve its blood supply and oxygen saturation,
  • stimulates cellular metabolism,
  • gentle superficial cleansing, does not affect the deep layers of pores.

It is recommended to carry out no more than 4 times a year. Can be used for any type and condition of the skin.

Minimum interval for different types of cleaning

There are recommended intervals for procedures, otherwise the protective covering may be damaged. If the structure of the epithelium is damaged, the skin will begin to react negatively to the effects of aggressive factors - frost, heat, sun rays, cosmetic care products.

In beauty salons, there are four types of cleaning – ultrasonic, mechanical, chemical and hardware.

Ultrasonic

This universal procedure is recommended for any skin type and is often combined with chemical and mechanical cleansing. Ultrasonic waves remove dead particles of epithelium and sebaceous secretions.

Ultrasonic facial cleansing

This cleansing prevents aging, promotes elasticity and maintains a fresh complexion. 4 sessions per year are enough, that is, with the onset of the new season.

Mechanical

This is a traditional method of manual cleaning. It is recommended for those whose facial skin is oily, often inflamed and covered with pimples. During the procedure, sebaceous accumulations clogging them are removed from the pores, acne is squeezed out and treated.

Mechanical cleaning is painful and traumatic. If there is inflammation, it is recommended to do it once every 3 weeks to heal the facial skin. For prevention, sessions are repeated every 2–2.5 months.

Chemical

There are three types - superficial, middle and deep. The method is effective in removing blackheads, helps narrow pores, and prevents acne. A positive side effect is the disappearance of fine wrinkles and increased tone.

For superficial cleaning, sessions are repeated every 4–6 months. This peeling maintains healthy skin, improves color, and prevents acne.

With mid-cleaning, a session is carried out no more often than once every 12 months. This type of cleansing removes signs of age-related changes, minor scars and scars from the face.

Deep cleaning is comparable to surgery. It can only be done by a plastic surgeon. This type of cleaning is acceptable 2-3 times in a lifetime.
