How many questions and gossip sometimes arise about human skin. That woman has beautiful radiant skin, that woman’s skin has clearly undergone changes due to some factors, because she looks somehow pale and unkempt, but that woman doesn’t take care of herself at all, her skin is oily and shiny . We hear all this every day at every step. But this is natural, because beauty requires that it be talked about, that it be discussed, and, in the end, that it be carried to the masses.
Each of us has skin with its own shortcomings and advantages, which we hide or show in one way or another. But what should those who have skin imperfections come first and are practically unable to cover them up?! After all, there are cases when you can easily correct your slightest flaws, and there are also cases when you absolutely don’t know what to do.
It is the feeling of ignorance and confusion that arises when a person with oily skin begins to notice that it has begun to peel off. Agree, oily skin flakes, this is not such a common phenomenon. And yet it is necessary to understand and find ways out of the current situation.

Causes of peeling
To understand how to get rid of peeling skin on the face, it is important to determine the cause of this process. Internal factors can be more difficult to detect than external ones.
Vitamin deficiency
Most often, peeling appears due to a lack of vitamins and some other beneficial microelements. The problem will not go away until the body receives everything it needs to function normally.
The defect occurs due to a lack of vitamins A, C, E, F, P and group B (B1, B6, B12) and elements - zinc, selenium, potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron. They have a positive effect on facial skin, hair and nails.
If there is not enough vitamin A, then you need to include more fresh herbs, liver, eggs and apricots in your diet. To compensate for the lack of vitamin F, you should eat fish, grains, and vegetable oils. The main difficulty is that it is difficult to independently identify what the body requires. Therefore, you should definitely discuss this issue with your doctor. He will give recommendations related to the grocery basket.
Proper nutrition helps not only improve the appearance of the skin, but also the immune system in general. The main thing is not to overdo it. Sudden changes in the body lead to stress.
Dry skin type
Dry skin usually causes a lack of moisture in the body. Dermatologists say that flaking is a consequence of dehydration, which can be caused by drinking too much coffee. But there is a solution to the problem. You need to drink as much warm boiled water as possible.
Cold liquid is not absorbed by the body's cells, which leads to the formation of mucus. It is worth excluding the consumption of sparkling mineral water, lemonade, juice, coffee and tea.
Weather
In winter, the skin is exposed to contrasting air treatments. First, there is a collision with the active influence of cold air, which, together with the wind, burns the face. The lips and the area around them are targeted. The blood vessels narrow. Then a person enters a room where hot air picks up moisture and expands the capillaries.
Other processes also occur in the cold. Dysfunction of the vascular system leads to deterioration of blood microcirculation. The sebaceous glands fail. The skin becomes very red and irritated.
Peeling can also be caused by ultraviolet radiation. As a result, a burn appears on the face. To protect against sun rays, cosmetics with UV protection SPF 15–30 and SPF 30–50 (in the summer season) help well.
Improper care
Washing with soap harms the skin, tightens and dries it out. It would be better to replace it, if possible, with soft and delicate cosmetics: foam or mousse for washing, gel, lotion, tonic. But only without alcohol content. It is allowed to use soap that contains moisturizing cream or oil.
Cleansing steps:
- After washing, lightly pat your face dry with a paper towel.
- Then wipe the skin with alcohol-free toner using a cotton pad.
- The final stage is applying moisturizer.
Improper care also lies in choosing the time to use a particular product. For example, in winter it is better to apply cream 30 minutes before going outside. Otherwise, the consistency will not have time to be absorbed and will freeze on the dermis, turning into grains of ice. They will gradually tear the skin, and the top layer will be covered with spider veins. It is important to select a cream specifically for the winter season.
The cause of trouble can be the wrong choice of cosmetics. The packaging always indicates what skin type the product is intended for. This recommendation cannot be ignored. For example, products with o are not suitable for combination or oily skin.
Health and healthy lifestyleOily facial skin flakes
My sebaceous glands are very active. The skin on your face is already shiny an hour after cleansing. I had to come to terms with this, but recently a new problem was added. My skin began to peel a lot. As soon as I get myself in order, the next day I’m all peeling off again. Using a scrub every day is harmful. Using creams makes the skin even oilier, and the peeling does not go away.
Most likely, the cream you are using is not suitable for your skin. Try changing it. I had a similar problem, which only went away after changing the cream.
For oily facial skin, cosmetic departments sell special lotions. After wiping your face with them, the skin becomes drier and does not become very shiny. When purchasing, it is important to read the information on the labels.
Actually, this is not entirely typical for oily skin types. Maybe you dried it out somehow? Use D-panthenol ointment for a while, and then be careful with lotions and tonics that contain alcohol.
I also had this problem and I’m not the only one. In the beauty salon they say that the reason is the water we use to wash our faces and too aggressive cleansers. You need to buy good washes and wipe your face with pieces of ice; it is also very useful to wash your face with melt water. You can buy sprays with thermal water in pharmacies, but this is a rather expensive pleasure.
Try cutting a tomato into slices, then apply a tomato mask to your face, hold it for 15-20 minutes, after which the peeling will go away.
Perhaps you have a mixed type of skin. Where it is dry, it peels. I also have this problem. It peels off in spots, like lichen. Before I go outside, I cover these places with Nivea cream. It helps.
Even with oily skin, there may be isolated dry areas, usually the forehead and cheekbones, which require regular moisturizing. A decoction of herbs such as sage, mint, string, calendula and St. John's wort provides an anti-inflammatory effect for peeling skin. It is useful to wash your face with this decoction in the morning. At the same time, the skin becomes soft and less oily.
The description looks like seborrhea, I advise you to go to a dermatologist. Apply lotions with antiseptics to the skin, and eat less fatty foods.
Most likely it is seborrhea, I advise you to consult a dermatologist. Apply lotions with antiseptics to the skin. And limit your intake of fatty foods.
If the skin is peeling only on the cheekbones, then you have a combination skin type, and you need to change the cream to a mattifying one for combination skin. Also cleanse your face correctly: first prepare warm boiled water, wash your face with it, then apply a special cleansing gel, foam it and rinse, then a tonic for your skin type, and then a cream.
I’m a guy, I have exactly the same problem. My cheeks are very oily.. and around the lips and jaw the skin is peeling.. and no creams help. And cosmetologists all say that it’s seborrhea.. and there is no treatment!
I tried a lot to make my skin stop peeling, but nothing helped, so now I always use URELIA 10 cream. It perfectly moisturizes dry skin and prevents the formation of cracks and flaking.
We are accustomed to the fact that flaking is characteristic of dry skin. but why can fatty people also suffer from it? Let's understand the reasons and find a solution.
Oily skin may also lack moisture. The combination of oily shine and flaking is a sign of dehydration of oily skin. However, its reasons may be different: you can drink enough fluid, but its quality will be unsatisfactory, or your body simply cannot retain moisture.

In addition, dehydration of oily skin can be a consequence of the aggressive cosmetics you use. Often, a zealous fight against increased fat content results in a lack of moisture, and not a decrease in the secretion of the sebaceous glands.
A simple solution!
The skin always needs hydration. And the best method of hydration is deep hydration from the inside with hyaluronic acid . The fact is that hyaluronic acid, like a “molecular sponge,” holds water inside in a large container: from 500 to 1000 molecules. In addition, it protects collagen and elastin fibers, so the skin remains smooth and elastic, beautiful and youthful.
Hydro-balance mattifying cream for oily and combination skin.
The cream effectively mattifies the skin and saturates it with life-giving moisture from the inside, and also protects against moisture loss for 24 hours. It mattifies and controls sebum secretion, protects the skin from moisture loss and external factors, UVA/UVB radiation, improves complexion, increases elasticity and smoothes the skin.
THE BASIS OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE CREAM is active molecules of hyaluronic acid, which create a protective barrier on the surface of the skin and retain moisture in the epidermis, increase the transport of active ingredients, skin regeneration, renewing collagen fibers.
- hyaluronic acid – for life-giving hydration
- Babasu oil + mattifying micro sponges – for a long-lasting mattifying effect
- filter SPF 10 – for protection against UVA and UVB radiation

Oily skin prone to dryness is quite normal for women living in big cities. The frantic pace of life, environmental pollution, and lack of time for proper care of the body and dermis lead to the development of unpleasant cosmetic problems. What to do if your skin is not only oily, but also flaky? We reveal the secrets of beauty.
Before buying medications that promise miraculous relief from flaking and oiliness, try to understand the reasons. The first and most common is the quality or frequency of use of cosmetics. Girls often resort to applying powder or foundation to hide skin imperfections (including oiliness). But few remember both negative effects: some foundations can not only mask peeling, but also provoke it.
For reference! Direct sunlight, strong wind, and frost can act as peeling factors not only for oily skin, but also for normal skin.
Other possible reasons include the following.
- Vitamin deficiency (lack of vitamins A, B, E and F). The solution to this problem is simple - just include eggs, fish and rice in your diet.
- Lack of moisture in the body, dehydration (constant lack of water). Don't forget to drink 2 liters of fluid a day.
- Unfavorable environmental conditions - harmful substances contained in the air are easily absorbed by the skin of the face. Therefore, do not forget about simple skin care rules.
Oily facial skin peels, what to do and how to help yourself? This type of dermis is in dire need of proper and regular care. Every woman can provide it at home. To do this, you must follow a number of important recommendations.
- Avoid facial products containing alcohol. They provoke additional production of subcutaneous sebum.
- Cleanse pores 2 times a day using water, gels or milk.
- When caring for your skin, do not use aggressive scrubs. The ideal consistency of the product is creamy with exfoliating particles.
It is important to know! Cosmetologists recommend using slightly acidic tonics. They have a positive effect on the dermis and normalize water balance.
Be sure to wash off your makeup at night; it is unacceptable to go to bed with makeup on your face (your skin, like you, needs relaxation and peace). After washing and removing makeup, do not irritate the dermis with a terry towel. Just blot it with a caring napkin.
Make masks at home at least once every 2 weeks. A mask made from cucumber pulp or coffee grounds can work wonders after being on your face for just 10 minutes. If you want to pamper yourself, allow yourself a moment of relaxation in the beauty salon.
First, let's prepare a scrub that will give your skin a healthy look. To do this, combine 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 egg white, 1 drop of tea tree oil and 1 tsp. lemon juice. The scrub is applied to the skin with massaging movements and washed off after 5 minutes.
The second recipe includes a component such as natural yogurt (an effective eco-friendly product). To prepare the mask, you need to mix 50 g of the product with a handful of flakes. You can wash your face with this product every day, as it is ideal for oily, flaky skin.
Chamomile tonic is also ideal for washing. You can add 3 tablespoons of rose water and 1 spoon of lemon juice to it.
Help from cosmetologists: getting rid of the problem forever
Among the services of beauty salons there are a lot of useful procedures aimed at restoring the structure of the skin. Among the most popular:
- mesotherapy;
- peeling;
- biorevitalization;
- moisturizing programs.
Mesotherapy is a procedure based on the use of specific compositions with vitamins. They are inserted under the skin using special microscopic needles to a depth of up to 6 mm. This allows you to saturate the skin with nutritional components at the level of the middle layer of the dermis. Creams, ointments and other external cosmetics do not reach this level.
Peeling is the ideal solution in the fight against flaking. The procedure is based on the use of fruit acids. They have a gentle effect on the skin. High efficiency allows you to restore the most damaged areas of the skin. The principle of the procedure is to remove the top layer of the epidermis with its further renewal.
Biorevitalization is a subcutaneous facial treatment with hyaluronic acid. The component helps to enhance the production of elastin and collagen. Due to this, the skin is saturated with oxygen and dry areas are cleansed.
Moisturizing programs are based on the use of nourishing masks and healing creams. To completely restore the dermis, the duration of exposure to cosmetic preparations is at least 14 days.
Each of the presented methods has many advantages. Contacting a cosmetologist is the right decision, which will allow you to get a 100% positive result. However, you can try to cope with the problem at home.
If oily skin peels very much, then in most cases the cause of the problem is the presence of diseases. In such situations, the tactics should be different: you should visit doctors.
- A dermatologist will help exclude or confirm a local diagnosis.
- A gastroenterologist will help you find out if there are parasites in your body.
- An allergist will rule out or confirm the presence of an allergy.
Proper care for problem skin is not only about performing cosmetic and home procedures. Particular attention is paid to nutrition and the amount of fluid consumed per day. The condition of the skin also depends on the normal intestinal microflora. A properly selected diet will normalize the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, which will have a positive effect on the condition of the skin.

Diseases
Peeling can also be caused by more serious reasons. These include skin diseases caused by fungi. Microorganisms cause skin lesions. Doctors call this disease mycosis.
There are other diseases. These include: psoriasis, eczema, seborrhea, dermatitis. These processes are accompanied by redness and severe itching. In some cases, peeling occurs due to allergic reactions to cosmetics, food, and medications. The wrong choice of drugs can lead to the proliferation of fungi.

What to apply if the skin on your face is dry and flaky in winter
Moisturizers, ointments and creams improve the skin's natural barrier function, which promotes water retention.
Moisturizing at night can provide additional benefits. A person can apply moisturizer to their face before going to bed and wash it off with a gentle cleanser in the morning.
Many different moisturizers are available for purchase. It may take some trial and error for a person to find the best one for their skin type.
Gentle, face-friendly moisturizers often contain the following beneficial ingredients:
- hyaluronic acid
- ceramides
- colloidal oatmeal
Some moisturizers and other skin care products contain drying agents that can worsen dry skin. In general, people should avoid foods that contain:
- alcohol
- artificial flavors or colors
- dioxane
- Vaseline or petroleum
Some people may prefer to use natural moisturizers to relieve dry skin.
These include:
- pure aloe vera gel
- Coconut oil
- Shea Butter
Coconut oil and shea butter contain natural oils. Some people with normal, oily or combination skin may experience skin irritation after using these products.
First steps for peeling
The invasion of the body by microbes does not pass without a trace. With a competent approach, negative consequences can be avoided and the desired result can be achieved. Bringing your skin to a healthy appearance requires delicate and careful treatment.
Daily care rules:
- Wash with lukewarm water. Preferably not tap water, but melted water.
- After each wash, apply a moisturizing or nourishing cream.
- Do not wipe your face dry with a towel, but blot lightly.
- To moisturize, use cream, lotion, balm with aloe and vitamin E.
- Ventilate the room daily or turn on a humidifier.
- Use creams with sunscreen.
- Don't self-tan.
- Carefully read the composition of cosmetic products. It should not contain retinol, benzoyl peroxide, or alpha hydroxy acids.
- Do not scratch sore areas.
- Don't forget to drink plenty of fluids (at least 2 liters daily). Freshly squeezed juices will be beneficial.
What not to do
Before talking about treatment methods, it is necessary to note points that you should try to avoid. There is a certain list of actions that can aggravate the situation.
To eliminate dryness, you should not:
- Do peeling.
- Use powder to mask inflamed areas.
- Apply rich cream.
- Remove dead scales.
- Exfoliate the skin with home inhalations, as well as when visiting a bathhouse or sauna.
Women with dry skin should not wash their face with tap water. It contains large amounts of chlorine and other antiseptics. These substances dry out the skin. It is better to wash your face with melt water. You should not overuse the pool, the water in which is also chlorinated.
Treatment
When the causes of the disease are clear, you can proceed directly to treatment. Therapy can be varied. If the problem is a pathology of the skin, then antihistamines are prescribed. They are effective in combination with external agents. If it comes to a fungal or bacterial infection, then antibacterial and antifungal medications will be effective.
Basic means in the fight for a healthy face:
- Hydrocortisone cream or ointment. Works great against dryness and redness. However, the corticosteroid hormone included in the composition does not allow the ointment to be used for a long time. Although hydrocortisone is not absorbed through the pores, the period of use of the product is 2 weeks maximum.
- Antihistamines. Help against allergies: Suprastin, Tavegil, Zyrtec, Claritin. III generation drugs: Gismanal and Telfast. Available for adults only.
- Special antifungal and antibacterial ointments. Eliminate the infectious nature of the disease.
- Panthenol. Designed to treat the face until redness and itching disappear completely. Can be replaced by any other product for external use containing dexpanthenol.
- Bepanten. Heals shallow cracks and is also prescribed as a means of prevention for children and adults.
Salon procedures are prescribed by a cosmetologist. Taking into account the cause of peeling, the doctor suggests one of the following types of procedures: mesotherapy, peeling, biorevitalization, intensive moisturizing with masks.
Mesotherapy
The procedure consists of introducing a cosmetic serum with hyaluronic acid. Sometimes this mixture is called a cocktail. It is rich in minerals, organic extracts and acids. If the mask is intended to eliminate external defects of the epidermis, then mesotherapy works from the inside.
The serum is injected using a needle, ultrasound or laser. The effect will not be immediate. You will need to wait a certain time. The result will be noticeable later and will last for a long time.
Peeling
The skin is characterized by regeneration. When one of the layers is damaged, a new, younger one appears. It displaces the old one. Peeling gives a signal to the cells to renew themselves. Due to this, tissue rejuvenation and collagen synthesis begins, which is responsible for skin elasticity.
Chemical peeling is carried out using different acids. It is their quantity that determines the depth of impact on the skin.
There are three types of peeling:
- Surface. It is performed using fruit acids. Only the stratum corneum of the skin is treated. The effect is quite aggressive, but effective.
- Median. This type of peeling reaches the capillary dermis. Main components: azelaic (salicylic) and trichloroacetic acid.
- Deep. Has many contraindications. However, it is considered the most effective. The substance penetrates deep into the reticular dermis. The effect will not be long in coming.
Biorevitalization
The biorevitalization procedure involves applying an anesthetic and a drug with hyaluronic acid, which retains moisture, saturating and moisturizing the epidermal cells. This procedure stabilizes the metabolism. At the same time, the skin on the face does not tighten or peel.
Moisturizing with masks
Professional moisturizing masks solve problems such as irritation, dryness, acne, and pimples. After use, complexion improves. They are prescribed as a separate salon procedure or in combination with other treatment methods.
These masks include:
- glycerol;
- hyaluron;
- medicinal herbs and plants.
In addition, masks with a special composition are used, which includes: dairy products, eggs, clay and vitamins. The result of the mask appears after the fourth procedure.
Which cream to choose against dryness
You should not remove the affected scales yourself. A targeted cream will do this job perfectly. You need to choose it according to several criteria.
Required components:
- The high-quality composition includes hyaluronic acid. It is necessary to maintain the water balance of tissues. Cells receive the necessary oxygen by removing dead scales.
- Glycerin is an element that moisturizes and nourishes. Thanks to it, cell regeneration and rejuvenation occurs.
- Hydrocortisone is another component that is important to pay attention to. It enhances the effectiveness of the remedy against flaking caused by allergies.
- Panthenol has all the properties of glycerin and enhances its effect.
- Along with vitamins A, P, E, the cream should include natural oils: olive, sea buckthorn, almond, coconut.
- Essential oils - aloe vera, tea tree, lemon, yarrow - have an anti-inflammatory effect.
- Citric, glycolic and malic acids help effectively remove dead epidermal cells.
Hyaluronic acid is a leading component in the fight against dry skin. It can be low- and high-molecular. The effectiveness of treatment will depend on what type of acid is contained in the cosmetic product.
The presence of low molecular weight acid increases the cost of the cream. Not every woman can afford such luxury. But beauty requires sacrifice. In this case we are talking about finances. The main advantage of the products is their deep penetration into the epidermal tissue, nourishing and moisturizing them. Acid works not only on the surface, but also inside.
High molecular weight acts only superficially. This is explained by the presence of large molecules that cannot penetrate deep into the epidermis. Despite this, the acid does not fill the pores.
Among Russian cosmetics against dryness and flaking, the following deserve special trust: Librederm, Kora, Laura. Among foreign products, the best are: Merz Spezial, Evelin cosmetics, Vichy.
You can learn more about the action of hyaluronic acid from the video.
Popular recipes against dryness
Dry skin problems are caused by decreased functioning of the sebaceous glands. Sometimes, due to this failure, the epidermis acquires a bumpy texture. To restore the protective barrier, masks with a nourishing effect are used, as well as various lotions. Such remedies can be prepared at home.
Mask with vegetable oil
Preheated vegetable oil should be applied to the affected areas of the skin. Wait 20 minutes. Then lightly dry the skin with a paper towel.
Apricot mask
Soak a napkin in freshly squeezed apricot juice and place it on your face, after cleaning it with lotion or sour cream. Remove the mask with a cotton ball. This composition is not suitable for a face with acne. The procedure should be repeated three times a week.
Watermelon mask
Soak a small piece of gauze in watermelon juice and place it on your face. After 20 minutes, remove and wash with water. Treat the skin with nourishing cream.
Ripe banana mask
Chop the fruit and mash with a fork until mushy. Apply banana mixture to face. Then remove the mask with a cotton pad slightly moistened with warm water.
St. John's wort
Mix a tablespoon of water with olive oil in a 1:1 ratio. Add 10 drops of vitamin E and ½ spoon of St. John's wort. Mix everything and apply to dry skin. Rinse off with water after 15 minutes.
Lotion of rose petals, jasmine and vitamin E
To prepare the lotion you will need ½ tablespoon each of jasmine and rose petals. You should pour a glass of boiling water over them. Leave the decoction for 6 hours. Using cheesecloth, strain and add one capsule of vitamin E, as well as a tablespoon of floral cologne.
Lotion with vodka and lemon
A tablespoon of vodka is mixed with 100 g of cream. Add lemon juice and one egg yolk. Stir the mixture until all ingredients are completely dissolved. The lotion is ready for use.
Egg lotion
To prepare, you will need to mix 1 tablespoon of olive oil with egg yolk. The lotion is ready. Using a cotton swab, carefully apply the lotion to the face. After 20 minutes, the mixture is washed off with water.
Why does the skin on my face peel?
Cleansing your face too often
Cleansing your face too often removes all the moisture from your skin. Wash your face only twice a day with cleanser. If you feel the need to wash your face several times a day, simply splash it with plain water.
Using a harsh detergent
Not all cleansers are suitable for all skin types. Stop picking just any random detergent off the shelf based on how it smells or its texture. Choose the right cleanser for your skin type. Otherwise, it may dry out your skin.
Not exfoliating your skin
You need to get rid of the dead skin cells on your face. Otherwise, cells will accumulate, causing the skin to look dull, dry and flaky. Hence, stop avoiding the scrub. Apply it gently and avoid aggressive rubbing.
Wearing matte makeup
Even if you follow a strict skin care routine, the wrong makeup can leave your skin looking dry, patchy, and puffy. Avoid using matte makeup if you have dry skin. Look for liquid products that create a dewy finish.
Spend long hours in dry environments
If you spend a lot of time in an air-conditioned room, this is bad for your skin. We know that sometimes this is unavoidable, especially in your workplace. To combat this, carry a face spray with you and spray it on your face from time to time.
In what cases should you consult a doctor?
There are situations when it is impossible to cope with dryness on your own. Prolonged peeling may indicate a serious illness. In such emergency cases, do not hesitate and consult a doctor as soon as possible.
Signs that a visit to a specialist is inevitable:
- Incessant scabies, itching and burning sensation.
- The formation of erosions, spots, ulcers, ulcers and cracks of unexplained origin.
- During the illness, a person experiences dizziness, joint pain, diarrhea, headache, hallucinations, insomnia and paralysis.
- The affected areas differ sharply in color.
- A bright red tint and swelling appear.
- The disease is local in nature: eyebrows, eyelashes, mouth, nose, etc.
Skin care recommendations
Dry skin needs constant care. This is often forgotten and certain steps are taken only when the first red spots appear.
Rules for proper care:
- Wash your face only in the evening. In the morning, you can wash off the subcutaneous fat that protects from harmful effects.
- Water for washing should be at room temperature.
- Take only warm showers. Hot water will lead to the spread of infection and complicate the situation.
- For washing, take melt water after boiling it.
- Do not wipe your face dry with a cotton towel. Paper will do.
- Use foam or moisturizing gel for washing.
- Select cosmetics individually. All creams must be from the same series.
- It is recommended to study the composition before purchasing. Alcohol-containing products are not suitable.
- Cosmetics for masking imperfections (powder and foundation) should have a moisturizing effect and protective filters.
- Before going to bed, be sure to wash off your makeup with cosmetic milk or micellar water.
- To maintain fluid balance, drink more fluids. Preferably at least 2 liters per day.
- Eliminate all spicy foods, flour, carbonated drinks, and alcohol from your daily diet. These foods remove moisture.
- Take a multivitamin twice a year. Especially fish oil. It saturates cells with vitamins A and E.
- Avoid visiting the sauna and swimming pool. If you still need swimming lessons, then every time after returning home you need to apply a layer of rich cream to your skin.
- Do not stay in the sun or frost for a long time.
- Stop smoking. Tobacco products not only spoil the complexion, but also dry out the skin.
Care must be gentle. This will help keep your skin young and healthy. Cosmetologists insist on using care products from the age of sixteen. Only in this case can you avoid the unpleasant sensation of itching and peeling.
Dry skin
Next, we determine whether dry skin is present. Dry skin becomes a result of a decrease in water content in the uppermost layer of the epidermis, the stratum corneum. However, many are accustomed to considering the skin dry if it lacks sebum. Whereas, very often those with oily skin with increased sebum production complain of superficial fine wrinkles, skin tightening after washing, peeling and dull complexion, and these are signs of dry skin.
Modern diagnostic methods indicate that dry skin can have both low, normal, and high sebum content. That is, oily skin can be dry at the same time.
That is why I set sensitivity and dryness as the first criteria for assessing skin, since in most cases girls are so concerned about blackheads and increased oiliness that this becomes their main criterion in choosing a cosmetic product. Whereas a cosmetic product must, first of all, help the skin restore its barrier function, otherwise a vicious circle results. Incorrectly selected cosmetics can further destroy the stratum corneum, causing increased oiliness, wrinkles, skin sensitivity, etc.
note
So, even if the manifestations of dry skin may not be all over the face, but only, for example, on the cheeks, this is the second, next after sensitivity, basic criterion when choosing skin care.
