Coffee salt body peeling: natural, safe, effective

Action

We are, of course, talking only about natural coffee beans. The soluble product is prepared using a completely different technology: while having a stimulating effect, it is devoid of valuable protein and vitamin complexes that natural coffee contains.

The composition of coffee is incredibly complex and depends on its origin, growing conditions, processing methods, and so on. In home cosmetics, both green and processed coffee beans are used - roasted.

The easiest way to get the perfect scrub is to brew coffee in the morning without sugar or milk. The grounds remaining at the bottom of the cup are the desired biologically active product. It consists of those particles that are obtained when grinding grain.

The video explains how to make a coffee body scrub at home with your own hands:

  • The Turkish drink requires the finest grind: the resulting grounds are so delicate that they can be used for facial peeling without any softening additives.
  • The mixture for a coffee machine is coarser; this peeling will give an invigorating sensation to the body, but should be used with caution on the face.
  • The coarsest grind is for ready-brewed coffee. It is not suitable for peeling, but is ideal for making an anti-cellulite scrub or a means for massaging problem areas.

In addition, coffee grounds have other beneficial qualities:

  • the coffee drink has a slightly acidic reaction, which enhances the exfoliating properties of coffee grounds;
  • The grain contains a fairly large amount of vitamin PP. During preparation, it partially passes into the drink, but the remaining amount is sufficient to provide the sediment with antibacterial properties;
  • the drink has a pronounced diuretic effect. Excessive consumption causes dehydration. However, when the product is used externally, this quality turns from a dubious advantage into an undoubted advantage. Any coffee-based preparations stimulate lymphatic drainage, promoting the rapid removal of fluid and toxins.

All the most effective anti-cellulite remedies include coffee components in one form or another. A homemade anti-cellulite scrub may be weaker, but it is much more effective than any other preparation.

General recommendations when making and choosing a product are as follows: for oily skin, it is advisable to use ground coffee rather than grounds. For dry and normal skin, coffee grounds are preferable, since the grain particles in them are softer.

One more thing to consider: the amount of caffeine and coffee oil in ground beans is much higher than in grounds. Therefore, such a composition may cause an allergic reaction. Before using a scrub or mask, you must conduct a test.

Contraindications for coffee peeling

Despite all the advantages and benefits of using coffee for peeling, there are also contraindications for this procedure. Peeling should not be done if there are malignant neoplasms, damaged skin, wounds or rashes.

It is better to avoid peeling with coffee during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as in case of allergies.

For many centuries, through trial and error, women have been developing universal methods for rejuvenating the skin, improving color and cleansing the face. The peeling worked very well. Let's figure out what it is. The word “peel” is English and means “to sand,” that is, essentially polishing the skin by exfoliation. Cosmetology is developing, but peeling remains an indispensable procedure.

The layer of dead cells simply needs to be removed in order to allow new cells to grow and renew themselves in a natural process. Because a large volume of cells is removed at once, the body receives a signal interpreted as a state of shock, which is what provokes the active production of collagen fibers and elastin. And thanks to the latter, the skin becomes elastic.

How to do

First of all, it is necessary to collect the “raw materials”. If it's limited to one cup of coffee in the morning, it will take several days to get enough. If a pack of grains was purchased exclusively for making cosmetics, then you just need to brew a sufficient amount of coffee - at least 2 teaspoons per 200 ml of water.

It is recommended not only to brew the ground grain, but also to boil it for a couple of minutes. Then the drink is drained or used during cooking, and the grounds are dried. The raw materials are stored in a closed jar, preferably a tin one, in a dark, cool place - in the refrigerator, for example.

Ground grain for scrub is stored under the same conditions. The container must be closed: both ground coffee and grounds actively absorb odors.

Recipes

  • The classic coffee grounds scrub recipe involves no cooking at all: everything was done while the cup of coffee was brewing. A slightly damp thickener is applied to the skin with circular massaging movements. After the procedure is completed, the residues are washed off.
  • With oatmeal. The combination of grounds and oatmeal enhances the exfoliating effect. Add a couple of drops of water to the finished mixture and apply to the skin. There's more residue this way, but the flakes give your skin a wonderful, silky glow, so it's worth the effort.

For dry skin, it is advisable to add a spoonful of thick sour cream to the mixture. Almond oil or coconut oil will also work.

  • Another option for a body scrub is a mixture of shower gel and coffee grounds. Consistency is determined experimentally.
  • A scrub made from a mixture of grounds and coarse sea salt in a 2:1 ratio is an excellent anti-cellulite remedy. Sea salt irritates the skin and activates receptors, and caffeine enhances lymphatic drainage. For greater effect, use a special washcloth.

Anti-cellulite scrub is recommended after a bath. The skin should be steamed and the pores should be open.

Ground grain recipes

  • The easiest way to make it is to grind the coffee to the desired degree of grinding and add a couple of drops of water so that the mixture has the consistency of thick sour cream and stays on wet skin. Scrubbing is done in the usual way.
  • Ground coffee with sea salt is an equally effective remedy both as an anti-cellulite and as a stimulant. Ground grain and salt are mixed in equal proportions, cream or olive oil is added. The resulting thick paste is rubbed into the skin for about 10 minutes and washed off without soap or gel.
  • Honey with coffee is in no way inferior in terms of impact and is more suitable for dry and normal skin. For the scrub, mix 2 tablespoons of ground coffee and 1 honey, you can add a couple of drops of essential oil. The mixture is heated in a water bath and applied warm to problem areas. After 15 minutes, the scrub is rubbed into the skin with gentle massaging movements and then washed off.

This scrubbing mask is very effective on the skin of the face, only in this case the paste is not rubbed in, but simply washed off with water after 15–20 minutes.

  • For anti-cellulite wrap, the following mixture is made: equal parts of blue clay and ground grain are mixed and a little mineral water is added until the consistency of sour cream is obtained. The composition is applied to the skin, massaged for several minutes, and then wrapped in film and a towel. The procedure lasts about an hour. Then the remaining product is washed off with warm water.

To achieve lasting results, you need to use a coffee scrub 2-3 times a week, for at least a month. Apply the composition in a circular motion without using strong pressure. The direction coincides with the lymph flow - from the wrist to the shoulder, from the ankle to the thigh.

  1. Before using the scrub, you need to cleanse your skin of impurities and traces of cosmetics. In most cases, it is enough to wash your face with your regular product.
