Atraumatic facial cleansing: the essence of the procedure, reviews

High-quality atraumatic facial cleansing (what this is and reviews of the procedure will be discussed in the article) acts as a peeling. Its action and properties are aimed at removing all imperfections from the skin. The mixture applied to the face instantly reacts with the skin, dissolves blackheads, stretches wrinkles, and exfoliates dead cells.

Atraumatic facial cleansing, what it is and what reviews it has interests many girls. This technique has found wide application among professional cosmetologists. Natural ingredients, without the use of synthetic ingredients, have only a positive effect. It is quite difficult to apply this type of mask at home, but it is still possible. You just need to find a high-quality mixture from a well-known brand. You can find a mask in online stores that sell relevant cosmetology products.

What's the point?

Atraumatic cleaning is not a new procedure. It has been used for many years. This is a gentle way to cleanse the face without traumatizing the top layer of the skin, allowing you to get rid of keratinized particles, excess sebum, and other surface contaminants. The procedure is carried out on previously cleansed and steamed skin. The fruit and other acids used extremely delicately cleanse pores and exfoliate dead cells. As a result, skin respiration improves, local blood circulation and metabolic processes are normalized, the skin is evened out, blackheads and inflammation disappear.

The essence of atraumatic facial cleansing
Atraumatic cleansing is a gentle peeling

The duration of the procedure is 20-40 minutes, but the effect of cosmetic preparations continues for about 2 days.

Mechanism of action

When the skin is steamed, the pores open, allowing the active components of the acids used to penetrate down to the deep layers of the epidermis. They lead to a weakening of intercellular connections, thereby promoting exfoliation (exfoliation) of keratinized particles. At the same time, under the influence of chemical agents, impurities soften and the structure of sebum changes, which allows you to thoroughly clean the ducts of the sebaceous glands and get rid of superficial milia and comedones. A certain part of the dirt clogged into the pores is finally dissolved during the procedure.

The effect of acids is also to stimulate the process of cell proliferation at the level of the basal layer of the skin, as a result of which the cellular composition of the skin is rejuvenated.

The synthesis of elastin and collagen fibers is activated, the skin becomes more elastic, shallow wrinkles are smoothed out.

Due to the high content of natural moisturizing factor in new young cells, a normal level of skin moisture is maintained.

!The result of all these processes is rejuvenated, moisturized skin.

Results of atraumatic cleaning

Facial cleansing procedures with glycolic and fruit acids are not much different in their effectiveness from chemical peeling with highly concentrated compounds. But only if it is done regularly.

The skin steamed with acid opens the pores to the maximum, which allows active fat-breaking and dirt-dissolving components to penetrate deep inside. Softening occurs, then destruction of sebaceous plugs, exfoliation of dead cells of the stratum corneum of the skin. As a result of atraumatic facial cleansing, the ducts of the sebaceous glands are cleared, and the pores again become healthy, clean, tighten to a normal state and cease to be constantly inflamed.

As a result of the completed course of procedures, normal cellular respiration and blood circulation are restored, positive changes occur even at the basal level of the epidermis, that is, deep in the skin. This manifests itself on the skin as follows:

• the relief is leveled, redness, inflamed areas, ulcers, blackheads disappear;

• stimulation of cellular metabolism leads to rapid visible facial rejuvenation due to active cell renewal;

• stimulating the production of your own collagen and elastin restores skin elasticity and leads to the fact that small skin creases (wrinkles) are completely smoothed out, and the formation of new ones is slowed down;

• the face looks younger due to lightening of the skin;

• age-related dryness of the skin disappears, it retains its natural level of moisture for a long time.

In order for this result to last for a long time, it is necessary to carry out atraumatic facial cleansing several times a year. For some, 2 times is enough, while others need the procedure 4-5 times a year. It all depends on the specific problem.

Carrying out the procedure yourself at home is not prohibited. The concentration of acids is low, so if you follow the procedure technology and have the necessary cosmetics, you can cleanse the skin without fear of harming it.

Acids used

The choice of drugs is a very important point. The effectiveness of the procedure depends on it. A specific product is chosen depending on the condition of the skin and the problems being solved.

For superficial peeling, lactic, tartaric, malic, citric and other acids are used. Lactic acid is obtained from blueberries and sour milk, tartaric acid - from wine or grapes, malic acid - from apples, as well as sugar maple, citric acid is found in pineapples and all citrus fruits.

acids for atraumatic cleaning
Fruit acids are also used for cleaning.

  • For problem skin with excess sebum production, salicylic acid is the best option. It perfectly removes mechanical impurities, regulates the functioning of the sebaceous glands, and has a pronounced anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect.
  • Glycolic acid is one of the most effective cleansers. Its molecules are the smallest in size compared to the molecules of other acids. This ensures better penetration of the substance into the layers of the skin and, accordingly, achieves a better cleansing and exfoliating effect.
  • Citric acid is a powerful antioxidant that neutralizes the effects of free radicals accumulated in the skin. It also has antibacterial properties and helps remove age spots.
  • Malic acid stimulates collagen production, which accelerates the process of skin regeneration. It has antioxidant properties, protects the skin from the effects of negative external factors, and fills it with valuable microelements.
  • Lactic acid intensely moisturizes the skin.
  • Tartaric acid has whitening properties and effectively removes age spots.
  • Malic acid accelerates recovery processes in cells and improves their nutrition.
  • Retinoic acid (tretinoin) is highly effective in treating acne. This result is achieved by normalizing sebum levels, reducing the thickness of the stratum corneum and anti-inflammatory properties.

Mixtures based on several acids are effective in solving complex problems. Vitamins are often added to them. Most often it is vitamin A (retinol) or vitamin E (tocopherol). To achieve a lifting effect and deeper hydration of the skin, hyaluronic acid is often added to the composition for atraumatic cleansing. Arbutin also provides a good moisturizing effect. It perfectly complements the action of lactic acid. The combination of lactic acid and arbutin also helps smooth the skin and is suitable for use after acne.

!Today, atraumatic facial cleansing with Israeli Holy Land preparations is very popular. This is a line of professional cosmetics that has been on the market for more than 25 years. According to experts, it is optimal for problem skin with severe acne.

Acids used during the procedure

Acids used during the procedure

It is very important to choose the right drugs, since the result depends on them. The choice of one or another substance is influenced by the condition of the skin and the type of defect.

  • One of the most effective facial cleansers is glycolic acid. This substance contains the smallest molecules, which allows it to penetrate into the deep layers of the skin and achieve the best results.
  • A very strong antioxidant, citric acid, neutralizes free radicals that accumulate in the epidermis layer. In addition, the substance is endowed with antibacterial properties and helps eliminate excess pigmentation.
  • To speed up the process of skin cell regeneration, malic acid is used to stimulate the production of natural collagen. The substance has antioxidant properties, provides the skin with protection from harmful external influences, saturates it with useful microelements, accelerates the process of cell restoration, and improves nutrition.
  • Lactic acid is used to thoroughly moisturize the skin.
  • Tartaric acid has excellent whitening properties that help remove pigmentation.
  • Retinoic acid, or tretinoin, normalizes sebum levels, reduces the thickness of the stratum corneum, and has an anti-inflammatory effect. All these properties allow you to effectively fight acne.

Mixtures consisting of several acids will help solve several problems in a comprehensive manner. Vitamins are often added to the preparation for atraumatic cleaning. As a rule, retinol (vitamin A) and tocopherol (vitamin E) are added to the composition. The addition of hyaluronic acid helps to achieve a good lifting effect and deeply moisturize the epidermis. If you supplement lactic acid with arbutin, you get an excellent product that evens out the surface of the skin. This combination is used after acne treatment.

Benefits of atraumatic peeling

  • The main advantage of the procedure is the ability to cleanse the skin without direct mechanical impact, which avoids damage. The skin is not stretched, compressed, or damaged in any other way.
  • After the session, no traces remain on the face, and slight redness goes away on its own in a very short time. Therefore, cleaning can be done before going out.
  • The procedure is suitable even for women with a low pain threshold, since it does not cause discomfort (unlike deep peelings and manual cleansing). Due to the low concentration of acids, the preparations used can cause only slight tingling of the skin.
  • Despite the mild effect, the procedure promotes quite effective cleansing and improvement of the condition of the skin.
  • An important advantage of atraumatic cleaning is its versatility. It can be carried out both for very sensitive, thin, dry skin, and for combination, normal or oily skin, prone to inflammation.
  • The procedure has few contraindications. Cleaning with fruit acids can be done even in the presence of rosacea.
  • The products used during the session have an antiseptic effect, due to which inflammation is eliminated and the likelihood of skin infection is minimized.
  • Not the entire face can be treated with fruit acids, but only problem areas.
  • There is no need to use a vaporizer before the session.
  • Due to the simplicity of the technique, safety and the absence of the need to use special professional equipment, atraumatic facial cleansing can be carried out even at home.
  • There is practically no recovery period: after a few hours, redness and some swelling disappear.
  • The effect appears immediately after the session: pores are reduced, inflammation disappears, and complexion improves.
  • Cleaning can be carried out at any time of the year, regardless of the intensity of solar radiation.

Stages of atraumatic cleaning

For long-lasting results, five to seven procedures are required, depending on the condition of the skin. It is optimal to repeat them once a week or ten days, it is impossible to do it more often. The cosmetologist gradually increases the concentration of the acid, while simultaneously reducing the duration of the procedure. Starting from 40 minutes, the specialist subsequently reduces the exposure time to acids to 20 minutes.

The procedure is carried out in several stages.

1. Normal facial cleansing using a product suitable for your specific skin type. It dissolves fatty secretions, cosmetics, and washes away particles of dust and street dirt.

2. Peeling with a chemical solution containing fruit acid. A mask is applied to the cleansed face, which cleanses the skin of surface impurities, expands the pores, and partially dissolves dead epithelial cells - the stratum corneum. This peeling can be done independently, at home, if you have a low concentration acid composition. To maintain youthful and healthy skin, it is enough to apply the mask once a week; to relieve the inflammatory process, you can use the product daily.

3. Higher concentration chemical peeling. As a rule, a solution of glycolic acid is combined with sour juice or extract of some fruit, berry (lemon, apple, grape, raspberry, orange), enzymes of papaya, fig. The cosmetologist, while applying the product, simultaneously performs the lightest massage of the skin, allowing the acid molecules to more easily penetrate deep into the skin. A stronger composition allows you to expand the pores more, warm up the skin to naturally remove comedones.

4. At the next stage, the enzymatic peeling procedure is carried out. Its basis is whey protein. The point of this stage is to completely dissolve the contents of the pores and intensively moisturize the face.

5. After the last part of the peeling is done, the beautician should moisturize the skin. Usually, napkins prescribed with a moisturizing composition are applied. After 10 minutes, they are removed and the skin is wiped with lotion with an anti-inflammatory effect.

6. The last stage of atraumatic facial cleansing is the application of a special soothing mask. Its composition is selected in such a way as to relieve inflammation and close enlarged pores.

The effect of the compositions begins immediately after application and continues for two more days after visiting the salon. During these days, sebaceous plugs dissolve, pores are cleaned, and the face becomes lighter or looks younger.

Flaws

The method has much fewer disadvantages than advantages, however, they must be taken into account.

  • Due to the delicate surface action, atraumatic cleansing cannot cope with severe skin contamination.
  • The technique is not suitable in the presence of severe acne or many comedones. Serious problems can only be dealt with through medium or deep peeling.
  • To obtain a pronounced effect and maintain it, the procedure will have to be repeated many times.
  • The use of fruit acids often provokes an allergic reaction, and in some cases quite severe.
  • Under the influence of acids, exacerbation of dermatological diseases is possible.

disadvantages of atraumatic facial cleansing
You may be allergic to acids when cleaning

Skin preparation

Before atraumatic facial cleansing, the cosmetologist examines the patient’s skin to determine its type and identify problems, after which he selects a specific product. The day before the session, a skin test is performed to detect a possible allergic reaction. A small amount of peeling mixture is applied to the elbow bend and the standard procedure is maintained. Over the next day, observe the skin reaction. The allergy manifests itself in the form of severe redness, burning, itching, which persists for several hours.

If it is impossible to clearly interpret the results of a local test, it is recommended to cancel the procedure or repeat the test on a small area of facial skin. To avoid possible complications, it is better to apply the mixture to the cheek area, since the thickness of the skin in this part is greater than on other areas of the face.

How to prepare for the procedure

During the preparation period, an important place is given to examination by a dermatocosmetologist. The doctor examines the patient’s complaints, assesses the condition of the facial skin, determines the degree of its elasticity, moisture, oiliness, and pigmentation. Then he selects cosmetic products suitable for the patient for all stages of the procedure.

Persons with open wounds and skin injuries, the presence of infectious foci, tumors, allergies, or intolerance to the drugs used during cleaning are not allowed to use it.

Stages of the session

During atraumatic cleansing, a whole range of special products are used, which are applied to the face in a certain order. First, the skin is treated with cosmetics to better open the pores, after which they proceed directly to the cleaning itself using low-impact, mild mixtures that help completely cleanse the pores of all types of impurities.

The procedure includes the following steps:

Stage 1

Makeup remover Carry out using products appropriate to your skin type.

Stage 2

Cleansing. They use liquid soap and gels that effectively remove dirt and dissolve comedones. These measures are necessary to open the pores and better penetrate the active components of the acids.

Stage 3

Peeling. It must be emphasized that this is a very important stage of atraumatic facial cleansing. It helps smooth the skin texture, soften the stratum corneum, and remove dead cells. Peeling prepares the skin for deep cleansing.

Stage 4

Treatment of the skin with a special warming composition based on a lipolytic solution and lotion. The lotion ingredients promote deep tissue heating, activate local blood circulation, thereby improving the penetration of the active components of the peeling mixture into the skin layers. The products used disinfect the skin and produce a slight anesthetic effect.

Stage 5

Applying a mask with a low concentration of fruit acid prepares the skin for further manipulations with higher concentration acids.

Stage 6

The cleaning itself. A layer of peeling mixture with a high acid content is applied to the skin. Under its influence, the pores open even more, and a vaporization effect is achieved. After this, a second layer of composition with a higher acid concentration is applied. Under its action, the upper stratum corneum of the skin warms up and softens, sebaceous plugs dissolve.

Stage 7

Applying lotion with antiseptic properties. It is carried out to prevent skin infection.

Stage 8

Applying a mask to tighten pores, moisturize and quickly restore the skin.

Stage 9

Applying protective nourishing cream.

  • An effective cleanser, Double Action Soap, helps soften the top layer of open comedones, while soothing and disinfecting the skin.
  • Alpha Complex peeling composition is based on mild fruit acids. The company produces two products that differ in acid concentration. Alpha Complex peeling has a concentration of 8%, which ensures absolute painlessness and a high degree of safety of the procedure. After cleansing, there is no redness or peeling of the skin.
  • A-NOX Face Lotion - activates local blood circulation, promoting rapid heating of the skin. It also has a bactericidal effect.
  • The special composition of A-NOX Solution is used to open pores. Its action is based on the ability to dissolve sebum and comedones accumulated inside the sebaceous ducts. Kills pathogenic microorganisms, provides an anti-inflammatory effect, and prevents skin infections.
  • Aseptic masks - applied after cleaning. The special composition has pronounced absorbent properties, effectively cleanses, soothes and disinfects the skin. The masks contain white clay, zinc, allantoin. The company produces several types of masks. They are selected taking into account the characteristics of the patient’s skin.
  • A-NOX Hydratant Cream is a special moisturizing cream. It is applied at the final stage of the procedure to quickly restore the lipid layer of the skin. This is very important because cleaning removes the natural protective layer.

According to experts, atraumatic facial cleansing using Holy Land cosmetics is highly effective in treating acne and helps solve the main problems of oily skin. An important advantage of the procedure is the ability to carry it out without the use of a vaporizer. Warming up tissues, softening contaminants and opening pores is done with the help of professional preparations that provide effects similar to vaporization. Other advantages of Holy Land cosmetics are the possibility of local treatment of individual areas and versatility: the products can be used to cleanse different skin types: dry, hypersensitive, prone to rosacea.

How does the procedure work?

Carrying out any procedure requires responsibility and a certain skill. Under no circumstances should you engage in actions that will not bring you any benefit, but on the contrary will only create negative consequences. It is best to go to beauty salons, where you will be provided with the best results and high recovery efficiency.

Each professional cosmetologist adheres to a certain sequence of all actions. This provides a good opportunity to get the most effective result. Thus, the main stages of facial skin care will be presented below:

  1. First you need to clean the surface of the skin from makeup and other components.

  2. At the second stage, you need to soften the skin, make it softer, so that the mask can be better absorbed. To do this, a special product is applied that removes fat from the surface of the skin and softens the cells.
  3. The basic procedure is carried out based on natural fruit acids. It removes keratinized and dead cells as effectively as possible. The top layer of skin is removed, which no longer has any functional properties.
  4. Using lotion, the cosmetologist opens the pores on your skin, thereby creating the most comfortable conditions for further application of the mask.
  5. Application of an additional mask, the composition of which is selected in accordance with the individual characteristics of the person.
  6. Afterwards everything is washed off and removed once again.
  7. To consolidate the result, you need to apply a special cream that will prevent exposure to sunlight and external factors.

The complexity of the procedure lies in the large number of steps. Therefore, it will be very difficult to cope with all this on your own.

It is best to entrust the work to a cosmetologist; today in almost every salon you can use qualified assistance from specialists. They will provide the best prices, quality ingredients and you will be happy with the results.

Achieved effect

The procedure helps to noticeably smooth the skin texture, improves its appearance, and makes the skin velvety and soft.

The action of the acids used during cleansing continues for 48 hours after the session, due to which sebaceous plugs and other impurities are completely dissolved, pockets of inflammation disappear, and the skin is thoroughly cleansed and healed.

effect of atraumatic facial cleansing
After cleansing, the skin texture is evened out.

!The effectiveness of atraumatic cleansing is also due to its positive effect on the synthesis of elastin and collagen, due to which small wrinkles disappear, the face is smoothed and rejuvenated.

Possible complications

Due to the low concentration of acids used, the procedure causes almost no unwanted effects or side effects.

  • In rare cases, irritation, peeling, prolonged redness, and allergic reactions may occur. As a rule, such phenomena occur due to increased skin sensitivity or are the result of individual intolerance to one or more components of the mixtures used.
  • If contraindications are ignored, dermatological diseases may worsen.
  • Insufficient competence of a cosmetologist can lead to skin injury and minor burns (for example, when using acids of too high a concentration).

Carrying out the procedure yourself

For atraumatic facial cleansing at home, salicylic, citric, lactic, malic and a number of other acids are used.

Using apple cider vinegar as a source of malic acid has a good effect. It has a pronounced antibacterial and antiviral effect, restores the protective properties of the skin, deeply cleanses pores, and helps eliminate acne.

atraumatic cleaning at home
You can do the cleaning yourself

You can make your own apple peeling. Several recipes are used for this. For example, apple cider vinegar is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:8, lavender color and cloves are added and infused in a dark place. The mixture will be ready for use in a week. There is a faster way to prepare a composition for home peeling: you need to mix a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and honey, add a teaspoon of fine salt. The composition is ready for use. You can also use ready-made peelings for the procedure.

Home cleaning sequence

  1. Makeup is removed from the face.
  2. The skin is cleansed using gel or foam.
  3. Degreasing is carried out using alcohol lotion.
  4. The face is wiped with a toner appropriate to your skin type.
  5. To improve the result, the skin can be steamed. To do this, you need to treat it with a stream of hot water for 1-2 minutes or simply apply a hot, damp towel to your face and hold for 30-60 seconds. The procedure is repeated until the skin is well steamed.
  6. Apply the peeling mixture to the face. You can use a fan brush for this purpose.
  7. After 10 minutes, neutralize with a mild alkaline agent.

It is convenient to use gommage peelings at home. They are applied in a thin layer, avoiding the area around the eyes. Treatment of the face begins with the chin, gradually moving upward. The action is performed in a circular motion with the tips of the middle and ring fingers, following the direction of the massage lines.

After the composition dries (after about 2 minutes), roll it into pellets with light movements, after which the remaining peeling is removed with warm water, and the face is treated with a tonic and a nourishing cream is applied.

The easiest method of self-atraumatic cleaning involves using a linen or cotton napkin soaked in a peeling composition. It is applied to previously cleansed and steamed facial skin and left for 2-3 minutes. This manipulation is repeated several times:

  • for normal skin – 3-4 times;
  • for oily skin – 5-6 times;
  • for sensitive and dry skin – 2-3 times.

The final stage of the procedure is washing with warm water and a light massage with a damp towel to remove any remaining mixture, after which a moisturizer is applied to the cleansed face.

Home cleaning can be done 2 times a week. For dry skin, one procedure every 7-10 days is sufficient. The course includes 10-15 sessions.

Stages of the procedure

Atraumatic cleaning consists of several successive stages:

  1. Washing, preparing the face for the next stage of cleansing. For this, one of the special preparations is used, which is applied to the skin with light massage pinch movements of the fingertips. The drug dissolves fat, removes all surface impurities and concealing cosmetics, which are then removed with cotton pads.
  2. Liquid peeling with fruit acids. It consists of applying a mask consisting of a weakly concentrated solution of one of the fruit acids. They help remove impurities, soften the surface layer, increase the lumen of intercellular pores, dissolve fat and partially exfoliate, that is, remove keratinized epithelial cells. The most commonly used is glycolic acid. This peeling can be used at home once a week for healthy, problem-free skin, and for oily and porous skin, such daily care will help significantly improve the situation.
  3. Repeated fruit peeling. To implement it, more concentrated solutions of glycolic acid are used in a mixture with the juice of lemon, apple, orange, grapes, raspberries, with extracts of natural fruits and with enzymes of figs and papaya. The solution is applied with small massage movements of the fingertips, which improves microcirculation and increases the area of contact of the drugs with tissues and the depth of their effect. At this stage, the tissues warm up and the pores become even larger, dissolving the surface fat “plugs”. Depending on the type of skin, solutions of varying concentrations and intensity of exposure are selected: for dense and porous skin, more concentrated formulations are used. They promote easier, gentle removal of comedones: not by squeezing, but by subsequent use of masks.
  4. Enzymatic peeling based on whey protein. With its help, remaining impurities are removed from the skin pores and intensive hydration is provided.
  5. Additional facial hydration. It is carried out using a 10-minute compress of wet wipes, after which the skin is cleansed and treated with a lotion based on an extract of chamomile. The latter is characterized by soothing, wound-healing and anti-inflammatory effects.
  6. Applying a soothing mask. It has an anti-inflammatory effect and helps close enlarged pores.

In some salons, the protocol is supplemented with ultrasonic cleaning.

Atraumatic facial cleansing using a set of cosmetic preparations “Holy Land” (Israel) is very popular. It includes:

  • special liquid ichthyol soap;
  • lotion based on menthol and camphor, warming and improving microcirculation processes;

Reviews

“I did an atraumatic procedure for the first time. Of course, there were doubts about its effectiveness. Fortunately, they were not confirmed. I'm very pleased with the result. The procedure is completely painless, even pleasant. It is fundamentally different from mechanical cleansing, during which the face becomes very red, injured, and marks often remain. This technique does not damage the skin at all (hence the name). The only consequence is slight redness, but this disappears after a couple of hours. The face looks refreshed, rejuvenated, pores have become invisible, blackheads have disappeared. I will definitely complete the course.”

— Daria, 35 years old.

“I had atraumatic facial cleansing using popular Holy Land cosmetics. Judging by the reviews on the Internet, they provide complete safety and deep cleansing of the skin. The procedure is absolutely painless and does not even cause discomfort. For me, the only negative is the duration of cleaning. The session took more than 2 hours, during which various cosmetics were gradually applied to my skin: lotion, peeling sheet, mask, cream. They all have their own purpose: opening pores, softening their contents, cleansing the skin, narrowing pores. In theory, the warming lotion should have caused a burning sensation, but there was none: I felt only warmth. Immediately after the session I did not notice any changes: neither positive nor negative. The face looked refreshed, but this also happens after a simple clay mask. In the evening the skin became covered with spots, but, fortunately, they quickly passed. In the morning I finally noticed the effect: my face was smoother, my skin became soft and velvety, and my color improved.”

— Ksenia, 32 years old.

“I want to share my experience of atraumatic cleansing. My skin is not very problematic. There are black spots here and there, but they are not that noticeable. After consulting with a cosmetologist, they chose this type of cleansing for me. First, the face was cleansed with a scrub, then a warming composition was applied. It warms and stings a little - there are no other sensations. After this, a peeling based on whey was applied. At the end of the session, a soothing mask was applied to the face. The procedure is very pleasant, but I definitely can’t say that I’m shocked by the result. Perhaps I just had too high expectations. For all this pleasure I paid 2000 rubles. I had the cleaning done in one of the salons in St. Petersburg.”

— Irina, 37 years old.
