Mechanism of action
The duration of bioreinforcement ranges from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area of application and the amount of the administered drug.
The procedure is painless and performed without anesthesia. Injections are made into the fatty layer of the skin, which does not have nerve endings.
After treating the skin with an antiseptic, the cosmetologist makes a puncture through which a soft cannula with hyaluronic acid-based preparations is inserted.
Depending on the depth of injection, the following occurs:

When is it better to use regular needles?
In contour plastic surgery, a flexible instrument is often used. But there are procedures when you have to choose a needle. The first option allows for a linear, uniform injection of the active composition, and the second allows for pinpoint thin punctures close to the skin surface. The cannula is not suitable here, since its tip is thicker.
Experienced cosmetologists are of the opinion that it is better to correct lips - contour and volume - with a needle. It is also worth choosing for filling deep wrinkles and scars with fillers.

Classification
Not all cannulas are created equal. They vary in length, diameter, and wall thickness. These parameters must be indicated on the packaging (you need to look carefully at the labeling). Let's look at the main ones:
- With or without silicone coating. Silicone facilitates the sliding of the instrument, increasing mobility;
- The thinner the cannula wall, the less pressing force, and the easier the substance enters the skin;
- The diameter of the device is designated by the Latin letter “G” and ranges from 30 to 21 (instruments with G19 are also found). This information is indicated for a reason: the lower the number, the more viscous the nozzle is intended for introducing;
- The length of the device varies from 1.6 cm to 6 cm. A specific length is used for each procedure.
Moreover, in different cases they work with certain devices. For example, to inject a viscous drug deeply, to the periosteum, take a cannula no higher than G21 (this is how deep wrinkles or skin defects are corrected).
