Essential oils for dry hands. Skin rejuvenation

Bio Oil

Expected effect: This oil appears in many ratings as the number one skin care product and promises to cope with any problem - from dry skin to the elimination of stretch marks and wrinkles.
In fact: the oil is light, when applied to the skin there is no feeling that it is covered with a film - the skin breathes. The oil really perfectly moisturizes even the driest areas on the elbows, knees, ankles, and the effect lasts even more than a day. The skin becomes more elastic - also a fact. I didn’t like the smell of the oil—perfume-vaseline, and quite strong. The oil is well absorbed, but not particularly economical - not suitable for massage, but just right for moisturizing problem areas - too dry or prone to stretch marks.

Skin care: TOP 25 natural oils for face and body

Catherine Corcoran, Darphin International Training Director:

“The oil penetrates the skin much faster and deeper than any cream. It relieves dryness, dehydration, excess sebum, improves skin texture and tone, and smoothes out wrinkles.”

FACE

It is better to apply facial oils before bed, as they penetrate the skin better at night and renew it. The most active recovery occurs from 2 to 3 am. Apply any water-based serum to well-cleaned skin - this will help the oil to distribute better, then rub a couple of drops of oil in your palms and massage it into the skin with patting movements. If necessary, you can apply night cream on top.

BODY

It is better to apply body oils to damp skin, so they will be better absorbed and will not leave greasy marks. Neroli oil will soften the skin, apricot kernel will help fight cellulite, jasmine will relieve muscle pain, almond oil will restore elasticity to the skin, and tea tree, citrus and lavender extracts will help fight inflammation.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter with Vitamin E

Expected effect: like the previous Bio Oil, this product is recommended for deep hydration and improvement of skin elasticity, including for pregnant women to prevent stretch marks.

In fact: the oil is solid, but it instantly melts on the skin and is easy to apply. The smell is pleasant - chocolate. It is absorbed quickly, but not completely, accumulates on the folds and folds of the skin, and can stain clothes. After application, the skin becomes smooth and velvety. This oil is a good option for use at night after a shower; it instantly soothes after scrubbing or depilation, and softens dry skin on the feet.

Incense for healthy skin

A much less well-known oil and rarely found in our country is frankincense oil, which has been unreasonably forgotten, but it not only perfectly smoothes the skin, but also soothes it, and also returns a healthy color to the skin .

Using various essential oils regularly, we get a whole cocktail for our beauty in one bottle!

Not all essential oils can be applied to the skin in their pure form; remember that they are very concentrated and 1-2 drops are enough for the entire face, so pouring them in large quantities is highly not recommended. It is important to comply with the permissible limit!

Frankincense oil perfectly restores the skin of the hands

An excellent option would be to mix the selected essential oil with any base (transport) oil that suits you, which will provide your skin with additional care and help distribute the essential oil evenly.

Oil-cream "British Rose" Body Shop

Expected effect : cream oil with rose extract and spring water promises an immediate effect of moisturized and radiant skin.

In fact : I really love the scent of British rose in cosmetics - fresh and sophisticated.
I was disappointed when I opened the box: there was almost no smell of the oil. However, it turned out that the scent not only reveals itself at its best on the skin, but also lasts for a long time. If applied to dry skin and not with a generous hand, the oil is perfectly absorbed and does not leave marks on clothes. As promised, the skin instantly becomes smooth and well-groomed, but this effect, unfortunately, does not last long - after a few hours the skin again requires hydration. Verdict: A great oil to apply to your skin after your morning shower.

Collagen toner Mizon Collagen Power Lifting Toner - reviews

Good day!

Surely the problem of hydration has already affected everyone who has ever thought about skin care seriously. It will never be enough if you don’t study your own face and its needs. Moreover, if you select a treatment simply by looking at the naturalness of the composition and the inscription “for dry skin.” So today I made it my mission to put together a short “hydration guide” that I hope you will find helpful.

Do you want to get to the bottom of this matter? Please under cat.

Let's start with the main thing!

Types of dry skin

Overdried.

There is no protective lipid layer, which is why moisture, if there is any, disappears at the speed of sound. There is a shortage of both oil and water. Signs: peeling, dermatitis, poor turgor, thinned skin, burning at the slightest irritation, pigmentation, when wrinkles appear - they are small and not very deep, but often there are a lot of them at once, and in the first stages they easily disappear. Requires layer-by-layer care, for example: moisturizing toner without oils, serum with vitamin C at night, with hyaluronic acid in the morning, then cream with collagen, etc. That is, many layers of water care, cream and possibly oil.

Dehydrated

- excellent turgor, no peeling, pores can be visible and even enlarged, but the skin is very prone to large and small expression wrinkles, and can sometimes become oily in the summer (but not too much). Matting products remove shine without any difficulty. Of course, if you don’t walk around the bazaar at +35. Dehydration is often expressed in tightness and dullness in dry areas, however, both can be easily removed in a couple of days with good moisturizing if the skin is young and has no other problems. It is important not to oversaturate such skin, so as not to cause pores to expand and worsen the penetration of care.

Dehydrated oily

(otherwise “oily-dry”) is the most difficult type. Most often, oily skin becomes dehydrated when acne, enlarged pores and excess shine are removed with zinc, alcohol and lack of care with improper washing. It can be easily recognized - fat protruding when needed and when not needed, flaking, tightness. The main principle is to organize washing and regularly moisturize the skin properly.

Have you already decided what type you are? Congratulations! Now please move on and read what your skin needs to be hydrated.

The note:

I will give examples mainly from budget Korean cosmetics, but you can choose any with a similar composition and properties. Many of these products have served me well for a long time, so for the sake of generality I will insert promotional photos from official websites.

Dry skin

What is required:

1. Tonics, possibly with a small amount of AHA (0.2-2%)

- refresh, improve absorption.

A'pieu Aqua peeling 1% AHA-BHA toner - very liquid, easily absorbed, non-irritating and greatly increases the moisturizing properties of subsequent layers

2. Tonics with collagen and oils

- ideal for winter

Mizon Collagen power lifting toner

thick and gel-like. They alone can easily nourish the skin head over heels for a couple of hours.

3. Serums

- with any suitable AKs (active components), which we will discuss later, it is better if the texture is thick, but watery. It is necessary to fix it with cream, emulsion or fluid.

Tony Moly 2X first light essence - transparent, with blue bubbles. It moisturizes, but doesn't work miracles. Huge volume for pennies.

Skin79 Barrier 10000 set up serum is a more expensive product that really seriously reduces skin reactivity. And also a very beautiful bottle)

4. Nourishing creams and/or emulsions

- consist of aqueous and fatty phases. Always make sure that the hydrosol, water or aqueous phase actives come first, and only then the oils, albeit in a fairly high concentration. Well, look in the reviews so that the texture, despite the nutritional value, is not very buttery, but rather elastically whipped, not greasy and not watery, but just mousse-like. And also beware of dimethicone. The mechanism is this: water is absorbed easily, and in a firmly emulsified mixture, it forces oils to be absorbed.

Holika Holika Skin and good cera super cream original - very cool, especially after peelings. My most nourishing cream.

5. Serum oils

- used after tonics, serums, emulsions, creams and any other layers. Should consist of light oils like rice bran oil. They are used most often in winter, when the skin especially needs to strengthen its lipid layer. It is pressed into the face with palms in small quantities. Two drops are enough for one application.

Mizon The pure argan essential wrapping oil is a pleasant oil. Sometimes I apply it without cream under baking.

6. Delicate rolls -

In just a few applications, peeling is removed without thinning the dermis. It is advisable to use after a month of active use of nourishing creams and oils.

Esfolio 2step multi bubble & peeling cleanser is amazing. First he does a foam massage, and then turns into a roll-up. The effect is no worse than the sensations)

7. Light
hyaluronic creams
are an essential product. Moisturizes and slightly protects the skin. They are the ones who need to be introduced into care first. No dimethicone in the first places for the illusion of lightness.

Elizavecca Aqua hyaluronic acid water drop cream is very pleasant and very fluffy, like a cloud) It copes with the task with a bang.

8. Night masks

- do not give results immediately, but they perfectly maintain a hydrated state, and sometimes solve some problems.

Holika Holika red wine therapy sleeping mask - yes, this is my most important beauty tip - to keep your skin hydrated and beautiful, drink a couple of tablespoons of red wine every night before bed. And of course I’m talking about cosmetic wine - this wonderful mask. And there is a spoon included.

Products for dry skin

Dehydrated skin

What you must have:

1. Tonics and toners:

lungs from hydrosols. In winter you can use more nutritious collagen.

Secret key fresh toner milk - very gentle and soothing

Mizon Collagen power lifting toner is amazing, and I’ve already mentioned it

2. Special serums

- lighter than the first type. Hyaluronic drips will help a lot. During periods of stress, flights, illnesses, it is best to use those that I recommended in the paragraph for dry skin, but not on an ongoing basis.

Mizon Hyaluronic acid 100 water, two drops are enough to nourish the skin.

Seantree hyaluron ampoule 100 is a more expensive analogue, but with a faster effect.

3. Watery hyaluronic creams and/or emulsions with urea and nuf -

perfectly supply the skin with moisture and slightly support barriers. It will be great if they contain azulene.

Secret key Hyaluron Aqua micro-peel cream is a light cream without miracles. Neutral and very everyday

Seantree Donkey milk water drop cream is donkey cute and very moisturizing. The cream seems to melt into water in your hands. The skin becomes smooth and pores are smoothed out.

Dushka Hyaluronic cream is a cream from Odessa manufacturer. I love it, even struggles with insidious sensitivity. The composition also leaves the most positive impressions.

4. Fabric masks -

An excellent express and long-lasting product, created as if specifically for this skin type. The main rule is not to wash it off. And you can choose any masks. Hydrogel ones are especially cool.

5. Daytime moisturizing masks

— help to urgently replenish your reserves. It is advisable to apply on serums.

The saem Natural daily original rose mask - simply turns the skin into continuous luminous silk. Suitable for very dry skin. There are pieces of roses floating inside)

The saem Cleome relining dual mask wash off is a chic cleansing and moisturizing multi-mask. Ideal for combination skin.

The scent “Morning Freshness” is also a must-have - divine, if, of course, you are not afraid of mint. I use it every morning

6. Multi-tools

- can sometimes be used if there is no time.

Green pharm cosmetics Revitalizing fluid - sometimes can be applied on the run. Daily care is no substitute. I recommend using less of these products.

Products for dehydrated skin

Dehydrated oily skin

What you must have:

1. Toner

- ideally acidic. It prevents further care from making the skin oily and improves the situation with rashes. Normal skin can sometimes afford such a toner.

Mizon AHA BHA daily clean toner - excellent against rashes

2. Serums

— both focused on acne and oiliness, and on hydration are possible. A liquid texture is desirable.

Elizavecca Witch piggy hell pore control hyaluronic acid 97% If you feel that there is enough hydration, then you can complete your day care by adding just a little cream..

3. Acid peels

(if the skin is not sensitive) - improves the penetration of products and polishes the texture.

A'pieu Aqua peeling cotton swab intensive is a huge cotton swab in a bag that will simply destroy any rashes in the bud. It's huge, that's why it's a stick.

Mizon AHA 8% peeling serum is the same, but less powerful.

4. Cream gels, gels or light creams

- perform the entire moisturizing function. In winter and autumn it is better to use creams. Please note that it is best to apply them to slightly damp skin. Examples:

MIZON Hyaluronic ultra suboon cream is the lightest and most moisturizing cream! Doesn't stick and makes your cheeks as elastic as balloons)

The skin house aloe soothing vitamin gel is an excellent gel for the summer. There are a lot of bubbles floating in it and in general it’s beautiful and useful.

Secret key snail repairing cream is my first Korean cream. Love. The pores are narrow, the skin is nourished and moisturized, there is no stickiness, and it is also practically fat-free.

Secret key snail repairing gel cream is even softer than its cream counterpart. Suitable only for skin that is not completely dehydrated—it didn’t provide even a drop of hydration for me. I'm sure those with typical oily skin without dehydration will fall in love.

Products for dehydrated, oily skin

I hope you have now figured out what textures your skin needs, and maybe have your eye on a couple of skincare cravings? I hope this helps you, but it's not over yet.

Let's finally look at the most popular components of moisturizing ingredients: what should you look for in formulations, and what is most often best avoided?

The most useful and necessary

Hyaluronic acid

- An excellent component for all skin types. Ideal if it is combined with extracts, natural hydrolates, and vitamins. After all, the essence of hyaluronic acid is to introduce all components into the skin, especially those related to the aqueous phase. Therefore, just water in the first place in care will also moisturize, but it works best with actives.

Vitamin C in L form -

a fairly stable form of the vitamin. It is better that the product contains fewer other components, especially oils. It is especially beneficial in the combination “vitamin C + Allantoin + hyaluronic acid + Hydrolate + preservative.” Reduces pores, revitalizes skin, reduces sensitivity, strengthens capillaries. It is better not to use on skin with excess sebum. And one more prohibition - you cannot apply serums and creams with vitamin C during the day.

Caffeine

- another element that is best friends with itself. Ideal to use as a course. Eliminates swelling and evens out the skin, and can tighten drooping eyelids by a few millimeters. Perfect for dry skin.

Glycerol

- one of the most controversial elements, but it is criticized absolutely in vain. It can dry out the skin only in one case - the air around you is nowhere drier and you apply glycerin in its pure form to dry skin. In other cases, everything is fine and you don’t have to be afraid. A workhorse, although hylauron works faster. Let's take a closer look at its pros and cons, since there are many myths and concerns about glycerin.

Takes moisture from the air Works great in mists Improves formula balance Helps extend the life of vitamin C serums Cheap Ideal in combination with hyaluronic acid

May impair humidity if the air is very dry. Sometimes the surfactant's ability to foam deteriorates.

Vitamin B3 Niacinamide

— brightens, eliminates irritation and dryness. Eliminates rashes very quickly (not chronic acne, of course). A very friendly component - can be mixed with everything and suits any skin. Works best on oily-dry skin types.

Muscle relaxing Tripeptides

- relax muscles and work against facial wrinkles. The component is certainly good, but it won’t help everyone. For dry skin with its fine wrinkles, it is undoubtedly useful at the initial stage, but in the case of dehydrated skin and deep creases - no, it is better to use massage and peeling. And also

- This is advice for everyone - stop wrinkling your forehead.

Kelp hydrolyzate

- an irreplaceable source of plant collagen. Moreover, what is actually built into our fragile collagen network, trying to keep the skin hydrated and elastic.

Useless and harmful

Biogold

- its most useful part is the solvent. It is inert towards the skin. Therefore, it can only be used as a scrub) Although, it seems to me, chemical peeling would be more effective) And biogold is also very allergenic.

Alcohol

- by itself. Pay special attention to what is written below. Never buy Holika Holika starters. I was shocked when I saw alcohol in second place.

Salicylic alcohol -

Salicylic acid itself is a pretty good way to exfoliate. Of course, if it is part of a well-balanced product. But in salicylic alcohol the main role is played by the first word - alcohol. Before you feel the effect, you will have to burn your skin, which, alas, is not an option. Therefore, avoid this element in care and products to combat flaking. Of course, this does not apply to salicylic acid.

Limonen -

safe and harmless-looking flavoring. In fact, it irritates the skin, provokes rosacea and allergies.

Now our conversation has come to an end. I tried to summarize everything that helped me get out of the “dry skin” state and towards relatively normal skin. I hope all this will be useful to you too.

Increase

Magnesium Skin Better You Oil

Expected effect : if you play sports or follow the recommendations of cosmetologists, then, most likely, you already take magnesium in tablets or use a medical spray to relax muscles, eliminate swelling and improve the process of collagen production. This shea butter, coconut oil, vitamin E and magnesium formula combines beauty skin care with skin absorption of magnesium as an alternative to pills.

In fact: the oil stings the skin a little - after the scrub I won’t use it anymore. And it also has a completely unremarkable smell, like a pharmacy. But this oil nourishes and cares really well. You need to apply it a little, otherwise you will have to rub it for a long time - it is opaque, quite dense, and white. The effect of moisturized, smooth skin lasts for a long time, and with each new use the result gets better. The oil relaxes muscles, so it can be applied before bed.

About oils with Katya Karpova

Vegetable oils are one of the most popular ingredients in cosmetics. If you look at the composition of any natural cream, you will find many ingredients whose names include “oil” (liquid oil) or “butter” (solid). A lot of questions arise: how do oils differ from each other? Should you use oil if you have oily skin? And most importantly, what oils should be in the cream to help the skin survive the winter without loss?

We asked these and other questions to Katerina Karpova, the creator of the natural cosmetics brand PureLove. Katya, like no one else, knows how important it is to maintain a balance when creating a cream, so that the cosmetics are not only “working”, but also pleasant to use.

LookBio (hereinafter referred to as LB): Katya, the most pressing question is - what oils should be in a winter face cream to protect the skin from frost?

Katerina Karpova (hereinafter referred to as KK) : In winter face creams, I often use butters, since such oils are dense in structure and well help the skin cope with wind and cold due to occlusion. There is no special winter cream in the PureLove collection of products yet; we use waxes in our formulations as a means of protection. For example, bee, it does not clog pores, but at the same time creates a thin protective film on the skin that copes well with the task.

LB: Many women have a prejudice that wax can clog pores, because... it lies like a film on the skin - unlike oils, which are supposedly completely absorbed.

KK : So the beauty of wax is that it is not absorbed anywhere, but lies on the surface. And when cleansing in the evening, the residues are well removed from the skin. Clogged pores are oxidized sebum, that is, a product of an internal process. I believe that even a relatively high percentage of wax will not clog pores in winter. Creams that contain jojoba oil will also offer little protection because jojoba is essentially a liquid wax. It’s good if the cream contains macadamia oil.

If the cream contains only dense vegetable oils, then there is a greater risk of getting a comedogenic composition.

LB: The result is clogged pores and a greasy feeling?

CC : If clogged pores are observed after using the product, then most likely the fatty phase in the cream is incorrectly balanced, i.e. It's not even a matter of what type of oil is used, solid or liquid, but how they are combined with each other. If I add coconut oil to a formulation, it needs to be balanced with another oil with the appropriate fatty acids. If the cream is not balanced, then most likely it will clog pores, no matter what skin type it is intended for. It often happens that synthetic emollients cause comedogenicity.

OILS AND DRY SKIN

LB: Some authors recommend using vegetable oil for the face as evening care. Can oil help dry, flaky skin?

KK : I think not. Peeling skin is a sign that the skin barrier is compromised. And the skin barrier is restored not only by oils, but also by ceramides, lecithin, amaranth extract, i.e. their complex. Of course, oils are needed for restoration, but using them in their pure form can only aggravate the problem and dry out the skin even more, only temporarily creating the illusion of an effect; in fact, it will simply temporarily smooth out the scales and that’s all.

Oils with linolenic acids in oil serums (rosehip oil, black currant oil, evening primrose) are good to use as additional nutrition to your basic care.

LB: So, first apply the oil and then the cream?

KK : That's possible. Or you can use cream in the morning or afternoon, and in the evening - 1-2 times a week - use oils as special care.

LET'S TIGHTEN OILY SKIN?

LB: What should women with oily skin do?

KK : If a girl’s skin is oily, it means there is an imbalance. And we need to solve the problem comprehensively. Most likely, if the skin is shiny, it just lacks fatty linoleic acids (found in many oils, for example, grape seed, hemp, milk thistle). In such a situation, I would recommend a really good night cream that is both moisturizing and rich in linoleic acids. Then the person’s sebum secretion will gradually normalize, and during the day the skin will no longer be very shiny.

CAN OILS HYDRATE SKIN?

LB: When you look at the composition of a cream with a large amount of oils, which is described as “moisturizing,” you inevitably begin to think that it is vegetable oils that moisturize the skin.

KK : Each oil has its own benefits, but they are not moisturizers, they only create occlusion, i.e. can retain your own moisture, which evaporates from the surface of the skin.

Water and active ingredients such as glycerin, sorbitol, proteins, natural moisturizing factor* really moisturize the skin. The amino acids in its composition act at a deep level. But components such as hyaluronic acid moisturize only on the surface. As for winter, in order for the skin to feel comfortable, it is advisable to apply creams with hyaluronic acid at least an hour, and preferably 2, before going outside; it is not advisable to apply such a cream immediately before going out.

* Natural moisturizing factor (NUF) is a complex of molecules that bind and retain water in the stratum corneum. Almost 50% consists of amino acids, as well as their metabolites (for example, glutamic acid salts).

WHAT SHOULD NOT BE IN A WINTER CREAM?

LB: What ingredients should you avoid in winter cream and in winter skin care in general?

KK : I would use less moisturizing ingredients during the day like hyaluronic acid, which has large large molecules that stay on the surface of the skin, retaining water. As for glycerin, it is an excellent moisturizing component; in vain they always try to discredit it. But in winter, due to the dry air, it is necessary that the product does not contain a high percentage of glycerin.

LB: If glycerin is in second position after water, is there a lot of it?

KK : Yes, in this case it is better to look for a remedy where it will be closer to the end. 0.5-2% glycerin in the cream will provide slight moisturizing, but will not dry out the skin. Experts have different opinions about what percentage of glycerin in a cream - 10 or 20% - can cause dry skin, but it is significantly more than 2%.

LB: And if the cream does not have enough moisturizing components, i.e. Is there only glycerin, a couple of extracts and vegetable oils?

KK : Who said that this is not enough? Here you need to look at the specific recipe, because there are extracts, such as polysaccharides, which also have a moisturizing effect. Sometimes even glycerin is enough to cope with the task. The main thing is that it is of plant origin.

Toning oil Thai Makrut Lime Body Shop

Expected effect : a product with kaffir lime extract and nourishing marula oil promises to awaken, moisturize and tighten tired skin.

In fact : massage oil - it’s pleasant to apply, but it takes a long time to be absorbed, you need to rub it intensively. The product leaves the skin feeling rested, well-groomed and renewed, especially after a bath, scrub and massage. However, the aromatic oils in its composition really tone, so I would not use this product for a beauty ritual before bed. The aroma is strong, pleasant, natural, in the best spa traditions, but after a couple of hours only a persistent trail of bitter citrus remains on the skin, which was not a particularly pleasant surprise. Verdict: a high-quality, effective product for a home spa or a trip to the sauna on a weekend.

Essential oils as an addition to daily care

Essential oils can be an excellent addition to daily skin care, which can be added to face masks, used in compresses, and even mixed with your cosmetic cream.

The only thing that should be taken into account when adding them to creams is the naturalness of the latter, since the chemical component of cosmetic creams can react with the oil and give an unexpected, and sometimes negative, result.

In the fight against premature aging, dermatologists recommend using the following essential oils : - myrtle; - geranium; - rose; - ylang-ylang.

The beneficial composition of these oils has all the necessary properties to maintain youthful skin, cleansing pores, smoothing wrinkles and making the skin elastic.

Among the listed oils, myrtle essential oil is considered to have a strong rejuvenating effect. A particularly
strong rejuvenating effect among the listed oils is myrtle essential oil , which is also called “women’s oil” because it helps to cope with many women’s problems - among them wrinkles and insufficient elasticity of the skin.

Dry oil Nuxe Prodigieuse

Expected effect: the bestseller of the famous French manufacturer of cosmetics based on natural ingredients includes several precious oils: borage, hazelnut, macadamia, St. John's wort, chamomile and camellia for an instant effect of smooth, radiant and well-groomed skin.

In fact: the oil is very light, silky and absorbs quickly, leaving the skin soft and smooth. Leaves a fresh, unobtrusive aroma - not of a perfume, but of an expensive skincare product. The small bottle is convenient to take with you and use during the day if necessary. The product can be used not only for the skin of the body and face, but also as a hair oil. A high-quality product that is essential in your cosmetic bag for instant care of the skin of your hands, neck and décolleté, and face.

THE BEST MOISTURIZING OILS FOR DRY BODY SKIN

Every girl and woman wants to look beautiful and therefore, first of all, she pays attention to the condition of her skin. The skin should not be dry, but slightly moisturized. Such skin becomes pleasant to the touch. When a woman achieves what she wanted, she will admire her beautiful body for a long time.

Unfortunately, not all ladies understand that the cause of skin dehydration and premature aging can be incorrectly selected detergents.

Therefore, it is better to use oils for the skin, which must necessarily contain more restorative and nourishing ingredients.

IF A WOMAN HAS DRY SKIN OF THE BODY It is recommended:

Constantly cleanse and moisturize the skin, as well as remove dead parts. Use cleansing scrubs prepared at home. Apply various oils and creams to treated and cleansed skin. You need to take a shower, preferably a contrast shower, and after it, rub your body with a towel; this will make it invigorated. Try to deep exfoliate your skin at least twice a month. In sunny weather, use protective body creams.

WHAT SHOULD BE CONTAINED IN OILS? Vitamin E. This is a very strong antioxidant, a vitamin of youth and at the same time a component that plays a big role in skin restoration. It also prevents skin lipids from oxidizing, and this is very important in winter. Vegetable oils. When the skin looks too dry, you need to apply a good lubricant. And therefore, many manufacturers add this oil to cosmetics, which improves the skin, restores, smoothes it and nourishes it throughout the body. The best ingredients are oils: coconut, jojoba, argan, almond. And if your skin is very sensitive, then cottonseed oil is best. Panthenol. Its role is to remove irritation and speed up skin restoration. With panthenol, even the worst skin is quickly transformed into a very pleasant one in appearance and condition. Squalene. It is a natural component of human sebum. It softens, smoothes the skin and protects it from moisture loss. Squalene also strengthens the natural lipid barrier of the skin. Shea butter and cocoa butter. The most important task of these oils is to eliminate roughness and dryness of the skin, nourish it and prevent moisture loss. At the same time, the skin becomes elastic and smooth, since when they are added to skin cosmetics, it becomes the basis for intensive skin hydration. Glycerol. This is a sugar alcohol that protects the skin from everything harmful that affects it externally. It has a good effect on calluses and skin that has cracks, usually on the elbows and knees. Urea. It works very well on dry skin, it penetrates deep into the skin and retains moisture well, thereby preventing large water loss. Excellent soothes itching.

THE MOST POPULAR OILS - Olive. This body oil is made only from the fruits of olive trees, which are very ripe. Such trees grow in the Mediterranean countries of Europe, India, Africa and the Middle East. Due to the fact that it is rich in natural content, almost everywhere they try to use this oil for cosmetic purposes to care for the skin of the body.

Its advantages: it retains moisture for about 8-9 hours, it is good for the skin, it has a good antibacterial effect, has a sweet natural aroma and an optimal pH level.

- Coconut. It works well for depleted skin of the body. It can be used in its pure form and as a cosmetic product made at home.

Beneficial properties: delays the formation of wrinkles, has a good anti-inflammatory effect, creates a protective layer that helps to get a beautiful and even tan, helps with stress and fatigue. It is good to use after hair removal, as it moisturizes and softens the skin.

- Shea Butter. This is fat in a solid state. It is white or slightly yellowish in color (may be ivory). If the oil is real, it has a nutty aroma. At warm temperatures, its consistency becomes similar to ghee. Shea butter is extracted from the fruit of a tree called shea butter. The fruits are similar to avocados, only smaller in size. There is a seed inside the fruit, they take it out and make oil from it.

Recommendation for use: for very dry skin, when there are many areas of rough skin on the body. Even when the skin of the body becomes withering and flabby (it acts as a rejuvenating and tonic agent), with a lack of hydration and nutrition of the skin.

— Argan oil. It is made from green nuts that grow on a tree called argan. Such trees grow in Algeria, Israel and Morocco. Oil is an excellent replacement for industrial cream. 5 advantages

I previously wrote about why I gave up store-bought skin care products.

And now I will tell you what benefits you will get if you start using vegetable oils for your skin and face, and how they differ from creams.

I hope this inspires you to use oils. But remember, you will only get a positive effect if you use oils correctly (I will talk about this below), otherwise you may get the opposite of the expected result.

Important note: wherever the article talks about oils, it means oils of good quality, suitable for food, that is, unrefined, cold-pressed oils, preferably organic.

Benefit #1. Skin balance

You will return your skin to its natural balance of sebum production. If the skin is dry, the necessary fats will be extracted from it. If you have clogged pores, the oil will be a natural detox.

But this may take some time: first, your skin will need to get rid of the ballast (pimples may appear when you start switching to oils).

After all, you have been feeding your skin synthetic creams for a very long time. Vegetable oils will provide your skin with lipid protection and at the same time allow it to breathe.

Vegetable oil is a natural product, no chemicals

Benefit #2. Nutrition

Oils penetrate perfectly deep into the skin, easily passing through the stratum corneum. Vegetable oils will solve your skin problems from the inside, eliminating the causes of imbalance, not the symptoms.

Oils will deliver the necessary fatty acids (linoleic, oleic, etc.) and vitamins (A, E, etc.) in an unchanged composition to the deep layers of your skin. While industrial cream does not have the ability to overcome the epidermal barrier, and therefore is not able to nourish your skin.

Benefit #3. Protection

Many oils have an anti-inflammatory effect due to the vitamin E they contain. Vitamin E also protects the skin from polluted city air. Oils are rich in antioxidants, so they restore skin and slow down aging.

Benefit #4. Cleansing

I was very surprised when I found out that oil can be used as a substitute for makeup remover. This may seem like a crazy idea especially for people with oily skin - fat can't seem to help you get rid of fat.

But the oil really cleanses any skin, it binds to sebum and removes impurities.

A well-chosen oil not only moisturizes, but also regulates sebum secretion and thus reduces its production when there is too much and increases it when there is too little sebum.

As a result, I gave up not only creams and lotions, but also makeup remover milk. I'll tell you more about this later.

Benefit #5. Saving money

You'll save a lot of money. Although the prices for some oils are steep, believe me, it will cost you less than industrial cosmetics.

Plus, once you switch to natural products, your skin will return to its natural balance and you will need to moisturize less and less.

So

Vegetable oils, when used regularly, will improve the condition of your facial skin. The face will become cleaner, smoother and have a pleasant color.

And don’t be afraid that the oil in its pure form will shine on your face. Properly selected oil is absorbed very well and does not leave an oily sheen.
