Basic winter skin care tips

People with different types of epidermis begin to experience difficulties and problems. During winter, it is necessary to change your skin care program. Despite the different types, there are general recommendations that will help maintain youth and beauty.

It is important to follow the following winter care rules:

  • Beauty and health of the skin always come from within, so first of all you need to take vitamins, especially A, E, D.
  • It is advisable to use a foundation. In winter, cosmetics serve not only for decorative purposes, but also for medicinal purposes.
  • It is better to choose cream-based makeup products.
  • If stars form on the skin, the cream should contain vitamin K.
  • It is important to drink a lot of plain water. It will help saturate the skin with moisture from the inside and normalize sebum secretions.
  • When taking a shower or bath, do not use too hot water. This leads to overdrying.
  • Creams for facial skin care should be selected with vitamins C, E and D.
  • The main damage is caused not by bad weather, but by dry indoor conditions. Therefore, it is good to purchase an air humidifier.
  • After a bath or shower, the skin should be gently blotted with a towel rather than rubbed.
  • In winter, you should give preference to nourishing and fortified masks. They need to be used several times a week a couple of hours before bedtime.
  • It is important to use SPF protection of at least 30. Moreover, the product must have a filter from the best UVA/UVB.

Also, in winter you should not neglect visiting a beauty salon. It is best to do atraumatic facial cleansing, superficial peeling, nourishing masks and spa treatments, and facial massage at this time. It is also preferable to do rejuvenation in winter, since there is no risk of getting burns and age spots.

We recommend reading about nourishing face cream. You will learn how to choose a nourishing cream depending on the needs of the skin, and how to prepare the product at home. And here is more information about masks for dry skin.

Firming mask for combination skin

pigment spots are reduced by half , and the MAIN THING is that they do not appear again. Last year, after a vacation at the sea, my forehead remained “tanned”, the dark spot near my temple did not add any beauty at all, the mask helped make the spot half lighter.

Required:

  • honey;
  • potato starch;
  • parsley;
  • cucumber and lemon.

In a blender, chop the parsley (to make 2 tablespoons) and add to it 2 tablespoons of honey, the juice of 1 lemon and the juice of 1 cucumber. At the end, add starch and mix thoroughly. Keep it on your face for 20-25 minutes and wash off with warm water.

Whitening mask

Required:

  • clay (white);
  • kefir or sour cream;
  • honey;
  • lemon.

In a blender, mix 1 tablespoon of clay, 1 tablespoon of kefir, 1 tablespoon of sour cream, juice of one lemon and 1 teaspoon of honey. The mask is applied for 15 minutes and washed off with cool water.

Summer mask for combination skin - after sun care

Required:

  • pulp of watermelon, melon or quince;
  • lemon;
  • hydrogen peroxide.

In a blender, grind the pulp of the selected watermelon, melon or quince (one or the other) to make 2 tablespoons. Add the juice of one lemon and 1-3 drops of hydrogen peroxide to the pulp. After application, keep the mask on for 5-7 minutes. It is washed off with cool water.

Which creams to choose?

Signs of poor skin health are dull color, uneven texture, peeling, a network of capillaries, cold pimples, and a sleepy appearance of the face. A suitable cream will help eliminate all these symptoms and improve the condition. If during the rest of the year skin hydration is a priority, then in winter it should be approached with caution.

Apply moisturizer at least 40 minutes before going outside. It’s even better to use these products at night. During this time, they will have time to nourish the skin, and in the morning it will be soft and elastic.

Also, when choosing a moisturizer, it is important to pay attention to the composition. In winter, the presence of a component such as glycerin is undesirable. It fills the skin with moisture. But when indoor air is dry, it begins to take it away from the deep layers of the dermis, thereby leading to dehydration and injuring the skin.

Good moisturizing components are hyaluronic acid and chizotan, as they form a protective film on the surface and prevent water from evaporating. But it is also important to apply such creams an hour before going outside. To maintain optimal balance, you can spray your face with thermal water directly over your makeup throughout the day.

Night moisturizers

In the autumn-winter period of the year, preference should be given to nourishing creams with active ingredients such as vitamins, oils, fruit acids, plant extracts and extracts, and antioxidants.

For basic winter skin care rules, watch this video:

Daily care for problem skin

Start by washing your face (and any other acne-prone areas) twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.

Use something gentle or a specific gentle acne cleanser from the drugstore or whatever your doctor recommends.

Washing your face (and any other acne-prone areas) is important to reduce the amount of oil on your skin. However, be careful in using strong cleansers so as not to dry out your skin too much since you already have sensitive skin. If you are choosing a product for problem skin, then look for something that says “hypoallergenic.” Use warm water (not hot) for washing, as it is less irritating to the skin. Also, avoid squeezing pimples as this can lead to scarring, infection and/or worsening of your acne. Use separate facial wipes each time.

Use separate facial wipes each time.

You need to make sure that the face towel you use is clean every time as reusing old ones reintroduces bacteria to your face.

Be sure to also rub gently (not forcefully) to minimize skin irritation.

Try a moisturizer.

Many acne treatments can lead to drier skin, so especially for those with sensitive skin, regular moisturizing is an important preventative measure to avoid over-irritating the skin when treating acne. When choosing a moisturizer from a pharmacy or store, look for one that is labeled as “hypoallergenic” (for sensitive skin) and “non-comedogenic” (suitable for people with acne, meaning it will not make your acne worse)

When choosing a moisturizer from a drugstore or store, look for one that is labeled as “hypoallergenic” (for sensitive skin) and “non-comedogenic” (suitable for people with acne, meaning it will not make your acne worse).

Be conscientious with your diet

Limit your intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates (such as white bread, pasta and white rice) as these can make acne worse.

  • Whole grains, beans and vegetables are the best food choices for people with problem skin.
  • Additionally, drinking plenty of water throughout the day (at least 8 cups a day and more with exercise) can help improve the skin on your face.

What to give up

Cleansing is an important part of skin care at any time of the year. For the autumn-winter period, you should abandon too aggressive components. It is better to replace a scrub with coarse particles with an exfoliant or enzyme peeling, which gently rolls off dead skin cells, cleansing the skin without damaging it.

Also, do not use soap and other strongly drying products for daily washing. For the winter, you need to choose cleansing foams and lotions with a mild effect and neutral pH.

Among cosmetic procedures, it is worth postponing skin lifting manipulations, mineral masks with algae extract, and collagen masks until spring and summer.

Additional care

Peelings for home use in the summer should be done regularly and even somewhat more often than at other times of the year, especially for those with young combination and oily skin.

For those with sensitive skin prone to rosacea, summer is the time to include anti-rosacea products in their care.

Include in your care gels, serums and masks that contain not only substances that moisturize and protect the skin, but also components that strengthen the vascular wall, reduce redness and have an anti-edematous effect. For example, arnica extract, horse chestnut, Ginkgo Biloba, rutin, panthenol.

People with young combination and oily skin in the summer need to more often include cleansing masks in their care, for example, with clay, which will adsorb excess sebum and help cleanse and reduce pores.

And for problem skin, it is advisable to also have an anti-inflammatory mask on hand, which will effectively relieve the inflammatory reaction if acne worsens.

Regardless of age and skin type, everyone will benefit from a moisturizing mask in the summer. It is advisable to make such a mask after an air flight, after a long stay in the sun, in general, in any situation when the skin loses moisture and you need to quickly replenish the water deficit in order to restore comfort and a beautiful appearance to the skin.

And don't forget about sunglasses. Otherwise, you will constantly squint due to the bright sun, which will actively contribute to the formation of facial wrinkles.

Cream application technique

The method of applying cosmetic care products is also of great importance. In winter, the skin becomes more sensitive, susceptible to injury and stretching.

The cream should be applied in compliance with some nuances:

  • The product should not be actively rubbed into the skin.
  • The cream should first be warmed in the palms and applied to the skin along massage lines using patting movements or fingertips.
  • The product should be absorbed by itself, but if this does not happen after 20 - 30 minutes, then the residue should be removed with a napkin. Again, carefully blotting your face.
  • In addition, do not forget to apply cream or serum to the chin, neck and décolleté.

Care according to the seasons

In the hot season, the mixed-type epidermis secretes more subcutaneous fat than in the cold season - under different external conditions, care must be appropriate.

Summer care

In summer, the skin requires constant care due to increased activity of the sebaceous glands. It is advisable to carry out the cleansing procedure using appropriate gels that contain components with anti-inflammatory effects.

Once a week you need peeling with scrubs and at least twice - nutrition with a mask. Direct sunlight has a negative effect on the epidermis and promotes aging. To avoid premature formation of wrinkles in the scorching sun, it is necessary to use special products in the form of creams.

Winter care

At sub-zero temperatures, combination skin is prone to flaking, so it needs to be moisturized. Peeling with scrubs during winter is best done no more than once within fourteen days. Before going outside, it is recommended to apply protective cream (at least half an hour before).

In winter, you need to increase the amount of foods rich in vitamins (sour cream, cottage cheese, eggs) in your diet. In winter, it is possible to use a moisturizing cream with a thicker consistency than in summer.

Spring care

During spring, oily areas of mixed skin require more frequent touching with a napkin due to increased production of subcutaneous sebum. Foods high in fat should be excluded from the diet - their consumption will lead to increased activity of the sebaceous glands.

Much attention should be paid to cleansing: regular use of masks is advisable. The temperature outside the window changes from minus to plus – the use of protective cream is no longer required.

Autumn care

After a hot summer, with the onset of autumn days, solar activity also decreases, so the skin no longer requires protection from the scorching rays of the sun with special means. Now she needs nutrition in the form of regular use of masks, especially in dry areas. It is necessary to increase the amount of vitamins in the diet or use them in the form of dietary supplements.

The article is advisory in nature: before use, consultation with a specialist is required to determine the presence of contraindications.

What oily, dry, combination skin needs

In addition to general care recommendations, there are special points for each type of epidermis.

Caring for normal

Those with this skin type are lucky. She is not prone to rashes, peeling, or excessive sebum production. But improper care can still harm the skin, leading to dehydration. Even normal dermis needs a different, more gentle program for the winter.

You should choose a cream that is not too thick, as this will provoke the release of excess sebum even in cold weather. You need a product with a light moisturizing texture.

The cream should soften the skin, for this it must contain oils, and also protect from external influences. The antioxidants in the composition will cope with this.

The cream should be applied 40 - 60 minutes before going outside, during which time it should be completely absorbed.

Even in winter, the skin should be exfoliated to remove dead skin cells. But for this it is better to use soft scrubs, gommages and peelings. But in cold weather, such procedures should be carried out only once a week.

You should wash your face with non-aggressive products without soap. Creamy textures - foams and gels - work well. The temperature of the water is important - it should be slightly warm, since cold water can cause cold acne, and hot water dries out the skin.

For combined

In some ways, this type of skin is difficult to care for, because the part on the cheeks can be dry and normal epidermis, and the part on the nose, forehead and chin can be classified as oily. But basically, if the difference is not too big, then you can monitor it the same way as a normal one.

In winter, as at other times, you should wash your face with warm water, but avoid hot baths and showers. This will dry it out and cause excess sebum production. It is also necessary to carry out cleansing procedures once a week, but without hard and aggressive particles.

If there is still a difference, then the day cream should have a matting function. It is important not to forget about hydration. But it is better to postpone products containing alcohol until spring and summer. And for dry areas it is useful to make nourishing masks.

For oily skin

Often in the autumn-winter period this type feels better than in the summer. Because sebum continues to be secreted, but not so much, but in sufficient quantities to protect it from cold, wind and snow. Therefore, you need to organize your care so as not to deprive the epidermis of its natural protection. The skin should look beautiful and without greasy shine.

To provide it with the necessary protection, it is important to use a moisturizer. Many people are mistaken in believing that oily skin does not need this. But it is the lack of moisture that provokes increased sebum secretion. But only the right cream will help cope with the problems. The product should not contain an oil base. The cream should be used before makeup and at night.

During the day, you can refresh oily skin with thermal water. It should be sprayed directly on top of makeup. It’s better to cleanse with micellar water; it will remove not only makeup, but also excess sebum. To care for oily skin, products containing salicylic and fruit acids and tea tree essential oil are suitable. It is desirable that the cream has a matting property. You also need to do cleansing masks regularly, a couple of times a week.

For dry

This type has it worst in the winter. Peeling, itching, redness, tightness and irritation become constant companions for those with dry skin. Not only cold, wind and snow have a negative impact, but also indoor air. In order for dry skin to feel comfortable, it should be protected and moisturized.

Irritation from weather and indoor conditions needs to be calmed and moisture retained inside the epidermis.

First of all, you need to choose a nourishing cream with oils and fatty acids, which is preferably applied in the morning an hour before going outside. And at night it is better to use a moisturizer. You should also periodically spray your skin with thermal water throughout the day. But do this long before leaving the room.

Cleansing and exfoliation play an important role. You cannot remove dead skin cells with scrubs with large abrasive particles, as they severely injure the skin, and aggressive peelings with fruit acids destroy the lipid layer. As a result, it dries even more and dehydration occurs.

Preference should be given to very mild products. Likewise, for washing, you should choose a gentle milk with a creamy texture and always an alcohol-free tonic. It will soothe the skin and promote better penetration of nutrients from the cream or serum. Herbal decoctions are also suitable for washing.

Cream for combination skin: TOP-3

And finally, I will review 3 creams for problem skin, which I was very pleased with.

"The Secret of Perfection" from Garnier for combination and oily skin types. For me, this is the most ideal cream, which moisturizes the face almost all day long and hides oily shine in the T-zone (this effect is provided by the mineral perlite, which absorbs excess sebum). Plus this cream is budget friendly. I also call it travel size because it is in a tube and not in a jar.

"Moisturizing Expert" from L Oreal Paris . I always give preference to moisturizing creams, since I live in a metropolis and my skin is the first to suffer from the toxic exhaust of transport and from the smoking chimneys of factories. The cream has established itself as an excellent protector against external factors. I used it in the summer.

Cream for combination skin (recommended for those over 40) - LiftActiv Collagen Specialist from Vichy. Suitable for all skin types, not just combination. Not sticky, the skin is noticeably tightened after two weeks of use.

Of all three, despite the prices, I will highlight the third, since it copes with age-related changes and problems of combination skin type better than others.

Rules for caring for the body and hands in winter and autumn

During the cold season, it is hard not only on the skin of the face, but also on other parts. The hands are especially affected, since they are always the most exposed to aggressive influences. To preserve their beauty and avoid unpleasant manifestations, it is important to observe the following care points:

  • Hands need to be kept warm. Always wear gloves or mittens when going outside, even in dry weather. Heat will protect the skin from microtraumas and dehydration.
  • Intense hydration. Don't forget to use hand cream. The composition should contain vegetable oils: olives, jojoba, coconut, shea, shea and others. They contain polyunsaturated fatty acids that form a protective barrier.
  • Constant skin nutrition. Care products should contain antioxidants, vitamins A, E, D, C, and retinol. All this contributes to the healing of micro-wounds and the formation of new healthy cells. It is also better to apply the nourishing cream at night under cotton gloves. They will warm your hands and serve as a compress.
  • When applying the cream, massage your hands and fingers to improve blood circulation.
  • Paraffin therapy helps with dry hands.
  • For washing, you need to use mild products with moisturizing ingredients, for example, glycerin, vitamins, and herbal decoctions.
  • Use a gommage or hand exfoliant once a week to remove dead skin cells. Through them, nutrients from the cream do not penetrate well into the deeper layers.
  • When cleaning and washing dishes, you should use cotton-based rubber gloves. This way your hands won't sweat. You can also wear cotton gloves under regular rubber gloves, after applying a nourishing cream.

Body skin care depends on skin type. But it is also important to constantly moisturize after showering and bathing. Do not use too hot water while bathing. In addition, it is better to put off hard brushes and washcloths until spring, otherwise the skin will begin to peel and become irritated.

But nevertheless, it is necessary to get rid of keratinized cells, only by non-aggressive means. Baths with essential oils, sea salt and clay help very well. It is important to moisturize and nourish the skin of the body, so once a week it is worth doing wraps with algae and oils.

We recommend reading about folk remedies for moisturizing the skin. You will learn about when the skin needs hydration, the best recipes for masks, lotions, oils and creams to moisturize the skin. And here is more information about the night face cream.

Unfavorable weather conditions not only cause poor health and mood, but also skin problems. To maintain its beauty and health, you need to choose the right care program and products depending on the type. Then by spring the skin will glow from the inside, and changes such as wrinkles and age spots will bother you much later.

Experts advise simple rules on how to care for combination skin

Buy cosmetics only in specialized stores and only certified products. For example, as an allergy sufferer, I constantly need the help of a specialist in this area. In addition, if the specialist is competent, he will always give the necessary advice, which I use every day and often recommend to other girls and women the products I have used.

  1. Store all creams, lotions and tonics in the refrigerator, in a special closed compartment in the door.
  2. After the expiration date, I throw everything away without regret, since there have already been cases of a terrible rash on the skin. And, I think, it’s not for nothing that they put an expiration date. Either the product deteriorates or loses its beneficial qualities (properties) and becomes simply useless. Why do I need this at 40 years old? I need effect and problem solving.
  3. Many cosmetologists advise studying the composition as carefully as possible, because petroleum products, silicone, and dyes are categorically unacceptable in creams and care products.
  4. Choose a cream not only according to your skin type, but also according to your age. A cream for 20-year-old girls will not have any effect on a 40-year-old woman. I checked.
  5. Do not forget to undergo all facial care procedures - cleansing, toning, moisturizing, nutrition. In the evening, these procedures are mandatory. And for all this you need to find time to look as young as possible for as long as possible and have a healthy complexion.

Since with combination skin it is not always convenient to make 2 masks per face, buy or make one specifically for this type. In beauty salons, they use two masks for oily skin and dry skin, the face is divided into zones, each zone is cleansed and nourished separately.

Choose “your” recipes that suit your skin type and always be beautiful! And I, in turn, will be waiting for your recipes on how to care for combination skin at home, your comments and reviews. Best regards, Katerina.

Basic care for combination, mature skin

Hello girls.

The idea to write such a post arose a long time ago, but I couldn’t decide how best to do it. There’s a lot of cosmetics, I love skincare, but if you write about everything at once, you’ll end up with a ton of information.

I decided to divide the products into those that I consider necessary and use daily (at least every other day) - in other words, the basics of care.

And additional ones, which are also very important, but are used a couple of times a week or as needed.

A few words about my skin: combination, prone to oily skin. In my youth, I suffered from all the accompaniments of oily skin - active sebum production, acne, closed comedones, enlarged pores, etc. Now the situation has improved, but proper care played a huge role here. But there were added surprises in the form of skin dehydration, but I overcame this problem, as well as age-related changes.

Now I am selecting care based on the existing skin type (combination) + combating age-related changes.

Evening: Cleansing

Yves Rocher Pure calmille cleansing micellar oil Hydrophilic oil

I won’t tell you for the hundred thousandth time how important it is to cleanse oily skin well. Yes, any kind, not just fatty ones. This has already been said many times. Hydrophilic oil is ideal for this purpose: it removes not only dirt and makeup, but also cleanses the skin well from products with sun protection filters. That is why all Asian foundations, BB - everything that contains high SPF, must be removed with hydrophilic oil. It, in fact, came to us from Asian cleansing.

My skin is not reactive, it reacts well to almost everything. For everything except Korean moisturizing serums, those that leave only a film on the skin, as well as hydrophilic oil. The well-known hydrophilic oil from the Japanese brand Shu uemura caused me a rash, but another oil from the same brand, but for oily skin, was suitable. Another oil from a Korean brand again caused a rash. In general, everything is complicated. But to my surprise, hydrophilic oil from the French brand Yves Rocher suited me perfectly, I’m already buying my second bottle.

It perfectly dissolves foundation, powder, remnants of cream with SPF, eye shadow, eyeliner - everything except mascara, I always have persistent mascara and oil cannot cope with them.

It has a pleasant, subtle aroma. Emulsifies medium - you won’t get a lush foam. It washes off easily and leaves virtually no film on the face, but in any case I move on to the second stage of cleansing.

Testing period: more than 2 months daily

Price: about 700 rub.

FOREO Luna3

The second stage of cleansing is needed to remove residual hydrophilic oil and makeup from the face. For oily skin, I think this step is necessary. Precisely because for this skin type, the extra film left on the face by oil is useless.

The Luna 3 skin cleansing brush helps me with this. I have a device for combination skin. I wrote a detailed post about it.

I apply a soft cleansing gel from L'Occitane Aqua Réotier Water Gel Cleanser

For combination oily skin, it is very important not to overdry it. There is no need to aggressively clean until it squeaks, let the protective layer remain. Otherwise, in addition to the fact that the skin will shine from the active secretion of sebum, it will also begin to peel off. And sebum can, by the way, begin to stand out even more. This is especially true for mature skin.

Therefore, be sure to pay attention to washing gels - buy soft ones.

This product is not the softest, I will not buy it again, but the feeling of dryness and tightness does not appear after washing. The gel has a distinct fresh aroma, quite pleasant. Foams normally and washes off easily. I don’t know if it can remove makeup on its own, but it’s suitable as a second step. I also use it in the morning and am also satisfied.

Testing period: more than 1.5 months daily

Price: 1790 rub.

Rating: 4.

I usually apply the gel to the brush, turn on the minute cleansing mode and carry out the procedure. I really like the Luna 3 cleansing process itself, it invigorates and tones. The skin after cleansing is very soft and delicate.

I also use this device to give massages – 4 times a week. Naturally, this is not basic care, but since we are talking about Luna 3, it would be dishonest not to say about it. I wrote in more detail about the massage in the post about the brush, but my impressions have not changed.

Toning, exfoliation.

Exfoliating Tonic Pixi Glow Tonic

And again, a well-known product is a toner with 5% glycolic acid. Designed to exfoliate the skin, give it radiance and generally have a beneficial effect on oily skin. Glycolic acid is generally a useful thing. But besides it, the tonic contains a lot of useful things.

The tonic has a faint, slightly acidic aroma. I don’t feel any negative reaction when applying it, but I have thick, porous skin, and for thin skin I need to be more careful. At least just in case.

The tonic is absorbed instantly, I don’t feel any stickiness or film. I immediately move on to the next stage of care.

The tonic did not become some kind of discovery or panacea for me, but nevertheless I am pleased with it. I have a mini format, and most likely, when it runs out, I will buy a new one. The skin definitely becomes smoother and brighter. Smoother and more well-groomed in appearance and touch. But I didn’t notice any effect on skin radiance, pores or inflammation.

Facial lotion
Holy Land Super lotion
This lotion is simply a classic in the care of oily, problem skin. I've always used it for as long as I can remember. In general, this Israeli brand helped me a lot in skin care at one time.

I use the product 3-4 times a week, but I decided to include it in my post - if you have more problematic skin than me, then you can use the lotion daily, but preferably no more than once a day - it can dry out.

I don’t see any super miracles from it, but with it my skin is healthier, my pores are lighter, and inflammation goes away faster. Aftercare works great for him. Interestingly, the lotion can be used on the skin around the eyes (if there are problems there). I tried it, and somehow a pimple popped up on my eyelid - the flight was excellent.

You can apply it in two ways: classically - using a cotton pad and in a more unusual way - pour a little product into your palms and apply it to your face with patting movements.

The lotion needs some time to be absorbed and for the first 5 minutes it can feel like a film on your face, which is why I use it exclusively in the evenings.

Test period: many years from time to time

Serums

The ordinary Buffet face serum

An excellent serum containing 5 types of different peptides. This is more of a treatment for mature facial skin.

Light, transparent liquid, almost odorless. Absorbs instantly. Apply over tonic or lotion using pressing movements. This serum is not recommended to be mixed with other peptides (for greater effectiveness) and vitamin C. Requires long-term use - a course of at least 28 days.

In general, I use more than 8 different serums in my routine, many of them with peptides. We have to balance.

When I first tried this serum, I was shocked - the effect was especially noticeable on the skin around the eyes: it became more toned and dense. It was really noticeable. On the face the effect is less pronounced, but I think what plays a role here is which place is your weakest - there the effect is most obvious. In my case, it's the skin around the eyes.

You shouldn’t expect any special hydration from it, it’s not about her. But testing is required.

Testing period: more than six months (3 bottles)

Price: from 700 rub.

The ordinary Amino Acids + B5 face serum

Moisturizing, soothing water-based serum. For combination/oily skin, hydration is very important. I use various serums aimed at this as well. I introduced this serum into my care relatively recently and I like it. It goes with almost everything, use before oils/creams.

A clear liquid that is absorbed very quickly, leaving your face completely dry after using it. It doesn’t seem to be hydrated in any way, but nevertheless the skin feels good. Somehow it acts very gently, but effectively. My skin does not experience any seasonal problems associated with the heating season.

3 weeks, 1 ruble/week use

Compound:

Aqua (Water), Propanediol, Betaine, Sodium PCA, Panthenol, Sodium Lactate, Arginine, PCA, Aspartic Acid, Glycine, Alanine, Serine, Threonine, Valine, Proline, Isoleucine, Lysine HCl, Histidine, Phenylalanine, Glutamic Acid, Citric Acid , Dimethyl Isosorbide, Polysorbate 20, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol.

The ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil

I apply this oil 3-4 times a week to my serums. And again, I decided to include a non-basic product in this post. And all because many girls with oily or combination skin are afraid to use oils, especially teenagers. They dry out the lipid mantle with aggressive agents and sincerely believe that oils are the No. 1 enemy of oily skin. This is not true, you just need to know when to stop and choose the right oils. And they are necessary for any skin, including oily/combination skin.

Rosehip oil is one such beneficial oil. It tightens the skin, moisturizes, and helps relieve irritations more quickly. It does not affect inflammation in any way, but overall helps restore the skin.

The product has a characteristic dark shade and a fairly active aroma. I can’t call it pleasant - it smells like butter and something else organic (probably rose hips).

Ingredients: Rosa Canina Seed Oil

This oil is recommended to be used with another well-known serum, The ordinary Niacinamide, but I have not tried it. I mix it with toner, which will be discussed below, and apply it to my face. The oil, by the way, is not that oily (I think you understand what I mean), but nevertheless it is absorbed for quite a long time. Sometimes I cover it with a light cream, and sometimes I leave it like that.

The skin accepts the product perfectly: no clogged pores, no inflammation. The face is soft and elastic, nourished and moisturized.

Testing period: more than 2 months several times a week.

Holy Land Alpha-beta restoring cream

This cream is probably the best that the legendary HL have ever released. I have been using it for many years and sincerely think the cream is brilliant. I recommend it to all my friends. I still have the cream in the old packaging, but now it looks different.

A complex of various acids: glycolic, salicylic, lactic. Vitamins A (aka retinol), C. It is used for various skin problems, but of course it is especially good for oily and combination skin, and of course problematic skin. Also widely used in age care.

The texture of the cream is very thick, you only need a small amount. I apply it at night, usually covering serums or oils with it. It is absorbed for quite a long time and in the first 15 minutes it feels like a film on the face. It has a specific, but not particularly bright aroma.

Why do I love this cream so much? Because it transforms your skin. The tone is evened out, the skin texture is evened out, the pores become narrower, inflammation goes away much faster, and the skin calms down. Moreover, I use this cream not only on the skin of my face, but also on my hands. I have seasonal allergies when a small rash appears on my fingers, it all itches and turns red - in one night Alpha-beta restoring cream removes all this. Brilliant cream.

Sun protection is required in the morning and should not be used in summer.

Morning:

My morning starts with washing my face with L'Occitane Aqua water cel cleanser gel, which I described above.

Then I spray Clarins Re-Fresh hydrating beauty mist.

To be honest, I bought this product out of curiosity, and the price allows it. The mist is a water with a subtle floral aroma. The bottle is heavy and of high quality, the sprayer creates a barely perceptible cloud.

Basically, the remedy is pampering. I don’t see anything from him, except maybe a slight toning. It really is for very young, problem-free skin. It is absorbed very quickly, I immediately apply the serum on top.

Facial serum The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Niacinamide, Pentylene Glycol, Zinc PCA, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Tamarindus Indica Seed Gum, Xanthan gum, Isoceteth-20, Ethoxydiglycol, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin.

Another famous water-based serum from the Canadian brand. It is highly recommended for oily/combination skin care. Contains 10% niacinamide and 1% zinc. Designed to regulate sebum production, tighten and cleanse pores, and reduce inflammation.

The serum is a thickened water, slightly similar to jelly. I apply it to my skin in the morning after toner. The serum is absorbed instantly. Sometimes I mix it with other serums from the manufacturer.

In general, there are a lot of positive reviews for this product, but personally I didn’t notice any changes: sebum is also released, the pores are all in place and in the same size. But the product did not cause a negative reaction - I use it, so be it.

SVR Sebiaclear Mat+pores
Sebum Regulating Anti-Enlarged-Pore Mattifying Care

Next comes matting cream, where would we be without it? I wrote a separate post about this cream and my opinion has not changed at all. Good cream, you can read the post here.

I apply the product only to the T-zone area, the cream applies perfectly and is quickly absorbed. It has a light consistency and pleasant aroma.

Protective face cream FaseD Antipollution firming cream

The final stage of morning facial care is a protective cream. This copy is a miniature and was purchased in Italy as part of a set.

It is protective against the environment for residents of the metropolis, but for me its main function is SPF 15. In the cold season, for the city, such protection is optimal for me, even if I use acids and retinol in my care.

The cream has a fairly thick texture, but spreads well over the skin. Absorbs completely in 3 minutes. Powder or foundation does not conflict with it. The product does not clog pores and does not cause inflammation. Not a bad cream, but I’m unlikely to buy the full format.

Features of winter care

As the temperature drops, you should replace the cosmetic cleansing product: gel with a cream product. The skin should be cleansed, but not overdried. Nourishing cream will saturate the skin with beneficial microelements and increase hydration.

This is provided by:

  • glycerol;
  • ceramides;
  • hyaluronic acid.

These elements must be present in the cream.

These creams include:

  1. Cream "Luxury Nutrition" from L'Oreal. The cream adapts to the needs of the skin using shea butter and vitamin C.
  2. Dreamskin Capture Totale Cream nourishes the skin and relieves redness. Formulated with stem cells & longosa extract. These components mattify the skin and reduce pores.
  3. Aquasource from Biotherm. Thermal plankton and mannose maintain skin hydration and enhance cellular metabolism.

In winter, do not use tonic; it is replaced with serum with antioxidants.

A three-step system from Clinique has proven effective in caring for combination skin, which includes:

  • cleansing soap - Facial Soap;
  • exfoliating lotion - Clarifying Lotion;
  • moisturizer - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+.
